Hiya,
I'm off to Fuerteventura (can never spell it!) 3 weeks today! :D
We're going to Corralejo and I've been told it's more of the main resort but it's fairly quiet, which is what I'm after at the moment!
I think Gizmo who normally frequents this board is the font of all knowledge on Fuerteventura, and if you do a search I'm sure lots of good info would come up.
I think the weather in November would be fairly nice about low 20's?? I went to Lanzarote at the end of October / start of November a few years ago and it was lovely, no rain, and sunshine every day! :)

My friend and I went to Corralejo and it was beautiful. Very quiet. They did have a Pacha night club though. Shops are fab. And I have to say it's quite possibly the best tan I have ever ever had. Very windy so it's like you get a surfers tan.

The food was great and it wasn't that expensive. It was a few years now but I can't imagine it has changed that much.

They have two little squares where you can sit out and watch the world go by and they had some bands etc etc. Also look for the second square carefully as my friend and I only discovered it when we had 4 days left on the island!

have a look here for more info....

Second largest of the Canary islands but probably the 4th least populated after Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. There are 3 main resorts and a few smaller resorts. The weather is pretty constant all year round, mid to high 70s although during the winter there is more of a chance of a cloudy day even if it does stay warm. We normally head over November and March and have been going 14 years and only ever had a few bad days.
Corralejo
Is where we always head to and is the main resort of the island, it's about a 30min trip up from the airport. You won't find any nightclubs on the island but up here you will find a music square that has some late night bars until 2 with their own entertainment. There is also a lovely music square where you can sit and chill out with a meal, a drink and to listen to some music. Then you have the various music bars like The Rock Island bar which is up a side street and then there's also the Rock cafe. A friend of mine also does all the entertainment in another bar, The Talk of the Town, his name is Dave Brown and he does a mix of live music, Karaoke, quizzes and other stuff. To be honest it's your typical Brit bar abroad but Dave's a top bloke and i'm always off out playing golf with him. Food wise just about everyone is catered for with places like Rosie's, Gibsons. Poco Loco and the newly opened Tony Roma's right down to small little Tapas places.
There are 3 small town beaches, one down by the harbour that the locals use and then 2 round by Waikiki. Then you have "THE" beaches, they are just outside town and you will see them on the trip up from the airport. They are beautiful but they do get windy as they are pretty exposed.
Caleta de Fuste
It's about 4 minutes from the airport so you may get some aircraft noise. It has a large beach but it's man made as is the whole resort. It's very Brit orientated and probably has less of the Spanish style to it, it also has a McDonalds :ill: It currently has the only 2 golf courses on the island but i'm sure your not interested in that :D
Jandia
Very German orientated and as such most of the restaurants and any entertainment there is geered towards the Germans. It's about an hours drive down as well from the airport. It has some stunning beaches that stretch for literally miles and miles.
Other resorts
Costa Calma is very new and very small. It has a nice beach down there but not many shops and bars. It's down towards Jandia and will probably take about 45 minutes from the airport.
Costa Antuiga is linked to Caleta de Fuste, about 10 minutes walk away. It has no beach of it's own and has very few shops and bars and is commonly used to house late deal people.
El Cotillo Up past Corralejo and is very isolated. This place is for people who want a real get away from it all holiday. It is VERY quiet although it has a couple of gorgeous beaches that naturists use alot. It has a few bars and shops but isn't considered a main resort just yet, it is nice but very very quiet.
I'll try to drop in some photos now if i can. The first one is of one of the beaches outside town.
