Hello,
My fiance and i are thinking of getting married in Hawaii. :cool:
We went to the travel agent but she said Hawaii don't tend to have all inclusive hotels... has anyone here ever stayed in an all inclusive hotel in Hawaii or know about one?
We don't want to stay in a self catering hotel for our wedding as we will hopefully have a lot of guests coming and the tarvel agent said it was expensive to eat out.
I've no idea where to start looking! :cmdunno:

Firstly, congratulations on planning your forthcoming wedding :yay:
Hope I can help you. Where in Hawaii do you want to get married? There are several islands to choose from and all have difference prices. We choose Oahu to get married on and had our honeymoon in Kauai.
Getting married in Hawaii is totally recommended. Fabulous location and the people and just out of this world.
An inclusive weddings can be pricey which is why we decided to get married at Olomana Tropical Gardens. It does work out cheaper.
Hotels which do all inclusive weddings on Oahu are: -

Like I say though, it is usually a lot cheaper to find someone independent, or find a wedding planner for advice like we did.
You do not have to be a resident on the island for a certain number of days before you get married.
You will need to get a marriage license from the license office. You both need to appear in person at the offices in Punchbowl Street (very easy to find) and the bus will drop you right outside it. They will help you fill in the license which then needs to be given to the person conducting your wedding. You can find more info here: -

We have no idea about any of the islands so don't know which one we would stay on! I have tried to find out but info on the islands is quite rare! A lot of travel agents don't seem to cover Hawaii. :(
I will look in to all the links you posted but we can't really afford to stay at a pricy location as we want a lot of guests there and it can't really be more than £1300 per person :cmdunno: Hoping that this price would include meals too - do you think it's possible?
The other resort we are looking at is Cancun, Mexico which i think is more reasonably priced but we can't decide between the 2 at the moment!
Will have to do our research into both locations but i will take up your offer of help if i need it thanks!:D

I wanted sandy beaches, swaying palm trees, hula girls to entertain us and a romantic honeymoon. Instead I got high rise buildings, Japanese tourists everywhere and rain! Oh, and ripped off by the taxi from the airport to the hotel, thieving git!
On our way home after a terrible week we were told if we wanted romantic Hawaii we should have gone to Kaui. Apparantly it's more 'honeymoon' idealic than the main resort of Waikiki Beach (where we were).
Obviously this was just our experience and I've heard of lots of people who honeymooned in Ohau and loved every minute, so I suppose it depends on what you are looking for from your honeymoon.
