Teaching Overseas
Teaching Overseas
Hello,
I'm in my second year of teaching English & Drama at a secondary school in Hertfordshire and its been my plan, since my training year, to apply to work overseas for my third year. This way, I can combine my itchy feet need to travel and my career development.
I don't want to do TEFL, although I am TEFL trained, but would like to teach either English or Drama at a secondary school overseas. At the moment, I'm not hugely fussy where I go but would like to avoid anywhere too obviously dangerous.
So my question is, does anyone know of any websites I can look at or any other resources I could turn to for helpful advice etc?
Ive also posted this in Careers for max amount of help!
Thanks

The best place I've found for advice is the TES forums - they have a teaching overseas bit - with loads of teachers who are abroad or have been. Definitely the best place to go for advice xx

Chosea country and check out the vacancy sections.... you should find something. waht about Sharm El Sheik. The Sharm British School is always looking for people.. they have a website. Not sure what age you want to teach.
Let us know how you get on.

Thanks chocolatejo and Lace girl for your help. Out of interest, Lacegirl, is the British council site just for TEFL jobs as I don't want to teach TEFL but secondary English or Drama, as I do now but overseas.
Ta again!
