Just wondering if anyone had been to these apartments or this resort?
The write up seems good on www.holidaysuncovered.co.uk
Thanks

I was in Corralejo in October and had a great time there. It was a family holioday for us, not much there in terms of clubbing if that's what you're into but perfect for a family. There is a fabulous beach just a few minutes outside of town (about 5 euro by taxi) as part of the sand dunes national park, it's like being in the Carribean, turquoise water, pale sand, just brilliant (I am VERY fussy when it comes to the ocean and won't go in if it's too dark...I like to see my feet :o ). Also a small beach in the town but I would always prefer the one at the sand dunes. The resort itself has plenty of restaurants and bars, don't get me wrong. But its simply quieter than other resorts but that's what we wanted. I hate being hassled every 5 yards.
Don't know anything about the apartments though. We stayed at the Atlantis Palace Hotel which was fantastic and we can't wait to go back. But have a search on Tripadvisor.com etc., I'm sure you'll get some reviews on the net.
P.S. There was another thread on here a few months back about the Canaries, and someone who has been going for over 10 years and has been to all the islands said that their favourite place is Corralejo on Fuerteventura. That says something.

I guess that would be me :D
We're off back to Corralejo in March :)
Right, the Bristol Playa. We stayed there the first time we went to Corralejo. It is right at the back of the town in a very quiet no through road overlooking the island of Lobos and Lanzarote. There is a tiny so called beach right outside the appts but it's of no use to be honest as it's mostly rock. Your nearest beach will be about a 12min walk away and is split into 3 main bits. The first down by the harbour is usable and fine although it's in front of a load of restaurants. The better one is Waikiki which is just a 5min walk further on. In the middle there is another small beach and if you look at the back of this small beach you will see the La Sirena restaurant, which IMO is the best restaurant in resort. the owner, Pepe is a lovely fella.
Of course the main beaches are just outside town, well you'll see the photos later on in this post. The drawback about these beaches is there is no shade. You will feel a lovely cooling breeze but that will mask how hot it is down there and will be very easy to get burnt.
The Bristol Playa is also located about a 10min walk to the main part of the town centre where all the shops and restaurants are located and you can walk from one end of the main town centre road to the other in about 12mins so the resort isn't massive. It does however cater for everyone. It's the busiest resort on the island but you will find mostly families here. There are restaurants to suit everyone from English type bars to Spanish bars. We usually end up in the Talk of the Town mainly because Dave, the entertainer is a friend of ours and i go out playing golf with him.
The Bristol Playa actually went through a massive refurb 2 years ago, they actually gutted the place and re did it and we haven't stayed there since so not sure what it's like now. It used to have a downstairs bar area and disco bit it was expensive compared to in resort. It has tennis courts as well if your feeling fit and right outside it has a newly laid walkway round to the harbour 5 mins away.

This is the view from the front of the Bristol Playa. In the forground you will see the island of Lobos and you can take a boat trip from the harbour if you feel like it. In the distance beyond Lobos is Lanzarote and that is a 15min boat ride away by Catamaran which you can also get from the harbour.
