reiki 3
I am doing my reiki Master/Teacher in 2 weeks now. I am really looking forward to it. I found reiki due to my job as an addiction worker and in somewhere where I didnt have a good working experience to say the least, however, they brought in reiki practitioners and the seed stuck in my head, about a year later I was in a health food shop and I saw an ad for reiki and thought I would do it.
It was the anniversary of a relatives death by suicide and I wanted to be occupied but I was really concerned that I would be very upset but for some reason I felt fine that weekend, couldnt have squeezed a tear out if I had tried to.
Complementary therapies are really interesting to me because of the alcohol and drug work that I do, I was at a training day for cocaine and crack cocaine and the trainer was a recovering crack addict and he was talking about his previous past and also the work that he did in rehabs and when asked what he would do with someone who was in the midst of a proper craving for a substance, he said he would tell them to eat, sleep and get complementary therapies done, which they did do in the centre that he worked in.
The irony is not lost on me that I found reiki due to a job that I couldnt not wait to exit from but that showed me that no matter how horrible an experience you go through, sometimes there is that wee light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you very much, I am really looking forward to it. Its been nice doing all the therapies and at a time when believe me, I really cant afford it, again most people will know the amount of times I have banged on about it, I am paying off a whopping uni debt but I thought to myself last year once I had the reiki seed planted, well why not?????
As long as my cats eat, who needs a social life anyway??? The thing is about this forum, it put me in touch with Louise the girl who is doing my reiki 3 and I have done most other things with her, I was on the events forum long before I started posting here.
And for me, its also been good to see end results because believe me, even with the amount of spare cash I have which is very little, I would be perfectly capable of spending it on absolute nonsense purchases.
I have really enjoyed taking it into my workplace, and of all the therapies I do reiki is my absolute favourite and it has always been really well received.
If I can manage to find someone who does it in Glasgow I am looking to do quantum touch next and sekhem as well hopefully.
I am not a visual person and I have probably already said that I didnt find any great feeling with the attunements I had up to now but what I did get was a real sense of peace and calm and just knew that it would work for me.
And its really odd because a year ago reiki wasnt part of my life at all and now I cant imagine my life without it.

I think that Reiki has a truely magical way of coming in to your life at the right time.. to help you get through ... and then gives you the abililty to help others do the same...
Such a beautiful, if not sometime terrifying energy...
I too hope to become a master soon.. but cash prohibiting me.. I fear it will be next year now.
