Thank you Rumi for sharing. Strange that the majority of acid forming foods are flesh based though. What could this be trying to tell us I wonder? A bit of a poser isn't it that one???

Hi June ........
Since I have discovered the principles of acid/alkali etc. I have noticed that I am less and less inclined to eat fish. Haven't touched meat for 24 years, so that wasn't a problem.
I seem to be just craving anything in the fruit and veg line, juice, my Supergreen powder, and some wholegrains in small amounts.
And my body is literally saying 'thanks' ...I can hear it !!!
One common thread to all the most life changing methods I have found work over the past couple of years is that SIMPLE is the rule .. the simpler the idea the better it seems to work. And with the diet , the simplest approach, to eat living food and drink water - which immediately cuts out 90% of the other stuff I used to consume - is the one that our bodies are so enhanced and energised by.
To me the paring down of my diet is akin to learning to meditate. As I clear my mind of all the chatter of the ego and conscious mind, and find the clearness and the quietness underneath, then so am I doing the same physically, by purifying my body and turning away from the toxins, the acid and the pollution of processed 'food'.

beautifully put Ru, although I eat a little meat, it does clog us up and you have just inspired me. i am going to ease of tea, milk, sugar and caffeine as these all help to imbalance some part of us. I love your bit about meditation, i often find yoga postures hard to do and it does have a great deal to do with the rubbish we often put in our mouths, eat vibrant and energised, live foods, thanks so much, such inspiration

then the thing to do is apply it to the area around you - ie. your home, and declutter ! Clean out horrible drawers stuffed with old rubbish !
All the same thing really, all space around our inner essence that we inhabit, exist in, that needs a little effort and thought on our part to remain free flowing and benefit us.

Hi Tammy - there is a fab little book by the Feng Shui expert, Karen Kingston, called 'Clear your Clutter with Feng Shui ' -
it explains how the clutter affects our energies - a very interesting and inspiring read !

Dear Ru and other Forum friends,
I am sorry to say, Karen might be good at space clearing, but I have my doubt if the Feng Shui she mentioned in the book will work or not. As far as I remember, she uses Black Sect Feng Shui, which is a school of Feng Shui created in the last 20 years. It is not real Feng Shui and she is definitely not a feng shui expert. I have posted a few messages on this subject in the Healthy Page forum over the last few months. Do a quick search on all forums over 6 month period. (keyword: Feng Shui) It should give you some insight. Space clearing and Feng Shui are completely two separate subjects. Hope it helps.

Hi Chi wing -
Thanks for the info re. Karen Kingston.
The book in question really only concentrates on the clutter clearing.
I appreciate your concern about the fact that she uses the very recent form of Feng Shui, but I have to stand in her defence !
With progression comes change, and although there is much to be said for the techniques of the ancients, I firmly believe that all things evolve. Having read Karens' book and another one of hers, I find her approach to be deeply spiritual and her words resonated with me very much ... I myself have used Feng Shui with family and friends, with enormous success - my sister met her fiancee after being single for years, only two weeks after we Feng Shui'd her house, and my mother also met a man with whom, two years on, she is extremely happy. I used whichever methods felt right at the time - the intuitive approach has to be the right one, as energy is constantly moving and varies so much from person to person. There must be a fluidity in the remedy that you apply.
Obviously this is just my experience - and I bow to your expertise of course, but I also have to acknowledge that there are people using differing techniques with just as much success.
There are many paths to the top of the mountain !

Ruminumi,
Might be I have made the same mistake twice. I have explained this in another forum. When I said, Black Sect Feng Shui only evolved 20 years ago. No, it does not automatically make it wrong. Toaster, television, kettle were new inventions too a while back. However, if they are away from the first principle, they cannot be called what it is not. For example, Sunny X drink. You cannot really call it orange juice. It might be an orange flavour drink, but definitely not orange juice as there is no bit of orange in there. Agree? I am not against Karen at all. I think she is a really nice lady too and I would like to learn space clearing with her one day and possess one of her bells (a bit expensive though!). I adore the fact that she is energy sensitive. I wish I could learn to be so too!
However, I am against the fact that people called "Black Sect Feng Shui" as Feng Shui. Without going into details and to cut a long story short, Feng Shui is a study of earth magnetic energy impacted to living beings and more. However, Black Sect teaches you your career is where your door is, your wealth sector is the far left corner from the door etc. It completely ignore the magnetic energy field. Also, might I ask you, what happened if you use/have two doors or more? So, you have multi career sectors and multi wealth sectors? Once people begins to study authentic classical chinese feng shui, only then they really how much money they have wasted in buying black sect feng shui books or courses. I was there once myself. Intuitive feng shui is a joke. You simply cannot do that. You might be sensitive to energy to promote certain aspects of people potential, however you cannot call it feng shui. Sunny X example, remember?
Ruminumi, you sound like a very polite and nice lady. I hope my message does not upset you. I just get too excited sometimes when people keep calling Sunny X as orange juice! There are many paths to the top of the mountain, but not everything above sea level is a mountain. It could be a tree or a building. You can't get to the top of a building and say you have just climbed a mountain! Anyway, I am pleased that your family has found true love.
All the best wishes.

Hi ChiWing ..
I loved your reply - it made me smile as your conviction and sincerity shone out of every word ! No, I was not upset, as I can clearly see your point.
Interestingly, when I applied some Feng Shui principles ( or should I call them Sunny X principles ! ;) ) to my relatives homes, I used a compass to discern the magnetic aspect of their houses , and based my advice on that, as I was uncomfortable with the idea of using the front door as the reference on which to base the reading.
I assume this is why it worked so well then ?! I have a couple of Lilian Too's books - what do you think of her ?
My mountain analogy was slightly misinterpreted - I meant the summit of it to represent balance, good fortune and happiness, and thus that there are many ways to achieve this, wether it be by the Classical Feng Shui path, or by the Sunny x path !!
Thankyou for replying - all very interesting !

Oh well, Ru. At least you could have well proved Feng Shui do work. Obviously, I don't know what you have done etc.....
Regarding Lilian Too, she has a different contribution to the Feng Shui world. She generated people's interest to the FS world (and made her money) and probably that is. I really don't want to go into the details as I do want to keep myself some good karma. I leave it to someone else to comment. However, on your journey in search of feng shui knowledge, no doubt you will hear some rather interesting stories.
Because this is the Diet & Nutrition forum, might be I can mention, TCM (traditional chinese medicine), or simply food can so called apply Yin Yang and five elements principle, which is the foundation of FS.
Today, in Feng Shui term, we have just stepped into Period 8 this afternoon. So, watch out. A lot of things is going to change for the next 20 years!!
