REIKI ADVISE
Hi Guys, Im a relatively new comer to reiki(please excuse my ignorance)! During a treatment I was giving my mum, I felt like I was going to pass out and that I was not getting enough oxygen in my body. Is this normal?

Hi Candy
There is no such thing as "normal" in energy healing as we all feel or sense different things and that changes from treatment to treatment.
It is possible that you are trying to hard and that could make you tense up, if so just stay relaxed and focused but it could be something your mum was going through and you were just empathising with her.

Dear Candy,
IMO it could just be that it was a fairly intense treatment in terms of energy flow and your system isn't quite used to that yet. Sometimes people can feel a bit queasy or light-headed if they're new to Reiki and a lot of energy comes through. With practice this settles down though.
Best wishes,

It could have been that you were concentrating so hard that you were forgetting to breath. Seriously.;)

Hi Candie,
I should have thought of that[8D]! As a personal trainer you would be surprised
the amount of people who forget to breathe while performing an exercise!

Hi Candy,
When I gave a Reiki treatment soon after my R1 attunement I felt dizzy and saw lights in front of my eyes and I had to stop. It hasn't happened since then and I agree with Reiki Evolution, I felt it was more energy than I was used to at the time.

Hi Candy
I agree with all the above does your Mum suffer from any breathing problems if so I usually find that when giving a treatment then I can pick up the problems of the people who I am working on. This is a great aid as some people are not aware from where the issues originate, shoulder pain is not always the place of the problem it could be the spine.

Hi Candy,
Like you and others I too experienced something like this after my R1 attunement. I was working on my R1 Reiki Master on the day of my attunement and suddenly felt very faint when I got to a particular area (where she had experienced health problems).
I agree with what others have said about it being a rush of energy. with time and practise you'll build up your Reiki muscles!
Have fun,
Pete

Hi Guys
Thanks for your time and advise! Mum has emphsemea (not spelt like that):D The energy surge, my consentration(probably holding breath) and lack of exerience all make a lot of sense to why I was feeling dizzy.
Thanks again
