Reiki &Fibromyalgia
Some time ago there was a post on this site (I think)which I can't seem to find. I think the person was asking for experience for some research.
I use Reiki to help manage my fibro and it does help but not enough to take the pain completely away.
Recently i had booked a Reiki treatment but the pain was so bad I thought about cancelling and then forced myself to go. I arrived feeling exhausted and sore. The practitioner didn't ask for any information about my health or anything so i didn't give any. I left after a 1 hour treatment feeling refreshed and totally pain free which was fab.
I posted this for the person who was doing the research but also to ask why self healing doesn't give the same results . Any thoughts?

Hi Soar
It is sometime difficult to get your brain out of the way when self treating and if you are in a lot of discomfort then it is hard to stay relaxed and focused.
IMO it is always preferable to receive a treatment from someone else when we are a bit off colour :-)
