Hypno for anxiety & nerves

I have just recently got through a long period, (nearly a year), of acute anxiety and nervousness.
I am doing well and getting back to 'normality'. I feel stronger.
My issue is that i feel ready now to plan my wedding along with my fiance but yesterday had an anxiety attack, I felt like everything was piling up on me and felt freaked out!! I love my fiance and have no issues with marrying him, he is for certain my soul mate. I don't like being centre of attention and standing up in front of people. I used to be very confident but Im scared and very nervous. We have even talked about having a very small ceremony so it would take the pressure off. I like that idea. Its just once the date is set, I know I will panick and get nervous until the day because i worry to much. If it was next week that would be fine, I don't want to seem like im wishing my life away. I am very sensitive and emotional especially since being ill.
I don't want to not cope.
My Mum thinks we should wait a while until Im better totally but I don't want to feel defeated. I want to be strong and COPE with it. Lots of people do it.
You probably want to give me a shake!
I have had 1 session of hypno for anxiety and use my tape to relax often.
Should I go back for more to hekp with nerves????
Any advice please.

Hi Lotti
If you feel that the hypnotherapy worked for you last time, then there is no reason not to think it'll work again.
There are other things that can help. Self hypnosis is very good at calming your nerves, as is EFT. Emotional Freedom Techniques. There are lots of posts about EFT here and I would say it is my preferred way of helping people in situations much like yours.
Have a read about EFT and see for yourself what others say about it.
There is some info on my website about it and where you can get some help to either do it yourself or with a practitioner.
Thee is also info on the site about EmoTrance. This is a very elegant way of moving the feelings of anxiety as they soften and flow out of your body.
I have also heard of Tapas accupressure but do not have any direct experience of it myself, only that it is talked about very highly by those that have.
Hope this info is useful

first of all welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing. Two thinghs to share with you.
First of all try and develop a PMA (positive mental attitude) in life and on life's situation. Sure, I know that at times these panick attacks arrive on you unexpectedly. But at times it is also a matter of "taking control" of your emotions and fears (see the thread on fear).
The other thing is indeed as Steve said above to go back to the hypnotherapist and/or try something like EFT. They are both very powerful and they both have good success rate, though it all depends on the practitioner and above all on the client.
Keep us informed on how things develop and how we can help you. Take care.

Hi Lotti:
I also feel both EFT and TAT (I use both) can help with anxiety, as well as hypnotherapy. I would add that a good Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner or master practitioner could probably do a great job with helping you to releve yourself of panic attacks and social anxiety. Many hypnotherapists who are trained in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy also have NLP background and vice versa. The good news is that people with significant problems with panic attacks & anxiety usually respond very well to good-quality therapy. Best wishes, Alfred11
