methods of distant healing
Hi all,
There are many methods of distant healing that i read from many reiki forums and even here.
1) with and without symbols
2) writing on papers or lists
3) visualization
4) using proxies etc etc etc
I read about this b4:
The healer writes the list of healees in a small book (or box ) with the relevant symbols drawn using gold markers on the cover of book. He closes the book and visualize and says his intent and holding the book and connect to the energy. He also says " reiki on" and only off after he claps 3 times. He then puts the book aside and carry on his other chores. He comes back to the book say after 1 hour and clap 3 times and say thank you.
Can the energy remain on for that 1 hour even though he was not focussing but doing other work???? Power of intent????
Can the energy remain on for infinite time as long as the 3 claps not heard??? Sounds like a crytal grid like?????
Anyone out there can share other creative distant healing methods which are out of the ordinary which makes our jobs as healers so easy???
Thanks

hi hazsg
one of the ways ive been taught to do distant healing is to write the name of the person, visualize them or use a proxy & use an affirmation that the reiki be sent for as long as it is neccessary or useful to the person.
I don't know how it works but I've been sending it so someone I love who is in basra at the mo doing policing duties, I just pick his photo up everyday & give it a quick blast & repeat my affirmation, hopefully he can feel it I dont know yet cos we havnt managed to contact each other yet communications are slow where he is.

Distant healing!
I believe you are referring to distant energy transference in what you are describing, where you just send the energy for the highest good of the receiver without connecting with them, which is quick and easy to do and you remove yourself from the equation.
Distant healing IMO the is the same as doing a hands on treatment and takes the same amount of time and effort as it would if the person was in front of you which they are in the energy.
To do this you connect with the recipient in the energy then you do a healing treatment exactly the same as you would if they where there on your treatment couch.
You get the same sensations and respond to what you sense the same as you would if they where there with you, the only difference is they cannot give you direct feedback so you have to rely on guidance and intuition to know when to turn the energy levels up or down etc.
The outcome of a distant treatment is the same as a hands on one :-)

I agree with Paul, this is what I do also.

Hi Hazsg,
I agree with Poppet and Paul, and mostly do distant healing in this way, usually with a photo, or I write their name and any other info on a piece of paper. This is held between my hands and I usually channel, until I feel nothing is happening anymore, then I stop.
I know, many have a healing box, and I did this also for a while, where each photo or piece of paper, is channelled to for a while and then placed into the box for using for group treatments. sometimes there is not the time to give all the people/animals in the box individual treatments daily, so they receive weekly ones and the box daily.
This is how I was taught anyway at level 2 Reiki.
I am sure there are many ways though and sometimes, I will also do a full treatment on an pretend person on the couch, using sketches for the body etc.
