I bought an Amethyst Tealight Cluster today - do I cleanse it?
Hi everyone
I bought an Amethyst Tealight Cluster today and wondering do I cleanse it? It really is lovely and not sure if I should cleanse it! It measures 7 x 6 inches. The bottom of it is like velvety type material and I didn't want to immerse it in water, so just thought I'd ask the experts! :D
Oh another question, can you place polished crystals on it to cleanse them? :)

Hi
Yes you will need to cleanse it, you don't need to imerse in water, just find a quiet place, sit in a chair with your feet firmly on the ground, hold you tealight in your open palms and imagine a waterfall of pure loving water passing over your hands and your new tea light, bless it and ask for it to be filled with love and light, when the time is feels right it will be done.
ps
Where did you get it? was it online?
Love and light

Tryed to post back after you posted but PC playing up abit!
Anyhow, thanks for your help Mark. I had an idea I had to cleanse it. Does it matter if I light the candle whilst doing this? Could you put it out in the sun to cleanse it as well?
Is it possible to cleanse crystals on this cluster - think I've read that somewhere, not sure!
I'm from Northern Ireland Mark and bought it in my local shop. It really is nice and I'm sure they can be bought online as well!! :D

Hi
No need to light the candle whilst doing it, and yes you can use the sun or the moon, but not in direct sunlight with Amythest, it tends to fade after a bit.
I use an amythest cluster to cleanse some of my crystals, i am pretty sure that it is ok.
hoep you have many happy hours with your new crystal

Hi Sunnystar,
Here’s a reply from southern Ireland! I’m in Cork.
I tend to have a reputation of posting controversial replies or perhaps unintentionally ‘push buttons for some folk’ and here in keeping with my character – I can do the same. However, instead of just saying yes or no to your question about cleansing your Amethyst T Light holder (they are nice, especially if they have large points and are deep drilled) – I will say ‘no’ – but go further and explain why I say no.
Imagine you have the whole of the mineral kingdom stretched out before you – some 5000 –7000 minerals – and consider that – because each mineral has certain qualities – the whole kingdom can be divided into seven groups. These seven groups each have specific evolutionary qualities in the way that the minerals of each group reacts to surrounding energies. So for example – there are minerals such as Angelite and Red Jasper which ‘attract’ surrounding energies to them – and they belong therefore to the group of ‘Attractors’.
There are seven distinct groups; Attractors, Breakers, Reflectors, Balancers, Transformers, Capacitors and Energisers. Each group of minerals acts directly on subtle energies around them in the way that their group name implies. Each group contains minerals that all have one thing in common – an evolutionary quality whereby they react uniformly on surrounding energies. I say evolutionary quality because by their action they actually put these surrounding energies through evolutionary changes while engaging with them.
So what does all this have to do with Amethyst? – Well, Amethyst belongs to the 5th group – the Transformers and in so doing, it has a nature to transform all surrounding energies within it’s ‘local field’. Therefore – Amethyst is ideal to place on or near a computer / screen – not because it reflects or deflects the harmful chaotic condition of subtle energies there – but because it absorbs them. They are then transformed and balanced through its energetic structure to a neutral state and emitted away from the scene. In short, Amethyst will under any circumstances – cleanse any chaotic energy from around itself – by a simple process of transformation. It does not need cleansed at all simply because it is one of the best minerals at ‘filtering or cleansing’ anyway! You can of course place any crystal on top of and Amethyst cluster – and within an hour or two, they will have any accumulated energetic residues absorbed from them and then emitted away by the Amethyst.
So many people follow so many books which just ‘say how it is’ without backing up their suppositions with any explanation. How do you know what they read is true?
Now I can of course reflect that cleansing any crystal as a matter of ritual does no harm, and many folk enjoy the ritual process. There’s no harm in following them, but – with further clarity borne through energetic observation and the application of Natures subtle laws… most crystals don’t actually need cleansing. We just have a habit of doing it – because generally speaking, our interest has been developed from some books that say it should be done.
With very best wishes

Hi Sol
Is it something in the water in Cork ? My Dad was originally from Cork and he loved to argue that black was white etc.
Seriously, love your posts, always provide food for thought.
I am doing a crystal therapy course at present - nearly finished, and I do find it interesting to read another point of view
