Wolf
During my meditation the other day i saw many things, colours-crystals-faces, some nice some not- and in the distance a wolf, just his face i saw, but it was definatly a wolf, with his ears erect, looking at me.~ i came out of it , wasn't sure what this meant,
Damn,- sorry!! [:@] - hot flush! why is it every time i think about these things it brings on a hot flush.:( [:@]
btw, i have a labrador and she is with me constantly, i sometimes think she is my totem too, she sleeps in my bedroom at the foot of my bed.

Thanks Stormdeva, i actually had a normalish dream last night for a change, and in it was a Black Panther i was thinking at the time in my dream that it was the large cat that people talk about when they see it in the wild here and there in the UK. oh and the panther had kittens or young with her as well, i was inside a house and she was outside, pacing, i was watching her through a glass door.

I've often thought my totem animal must be a Wolf. I am a loner who loves to be social and when I am socially inclined I tend to only stay with those who would die for me or at least care deeply. Im very easily bored with acquaintence friendships. Regardless though I may travel in a pack for comfort I seek alone in my hunting.
I remember my mother who was an elemntary teacher, she had brought home an encyclopedia made of flash cards on animals of ALL types. I'd spend hours looking through all the cards with region maps and statistics about the animals and one day happened upon the gray wolf. Something inside told me to keep that card from the rest, so I took it to my room and kept it in a drawer.
There have been many other circumstances that support my belief in this. Another is my sense of smell. I can have an incredible sense of smell that I used to follow people with in 4th grade.

I have a wolf as a guide as I follow Shamanic way of life. The wolf is a very powerful totem and one not to be ignored. teaching and learning are what are the lessons of wolf and this is long term learning. Wolf medicine is lonely as your views and what you are asked to learn can distance you from others, but the teaching element of the totem makes you interact with people and teach them the ways of the world. THis can be the hardest part of this totem being able to be solitary and also be in a pack, or should I say interact with the world.
Wolf always comes with conflict as you need to understand the way of people but also the solitary way of life, to become one with yourself before becoming one with others. Because there is so much to learn before we can start to teach we all need to be able to blend in with surroundings and find like minded pack members who will teach, learn, grow and understand us.
I have often done meditations and had dreams where I am running with the pack and in a shamanic dream journey I became a wolf and ould feel all the power of my legs and also the intellect, truely amazing experiance!

Hi Maria, your post is interesting because that is how i am, very quite and i prefer being alone or just with immediate family, i am a very distant person who loves solitude & peace and quiet.

This is what i am not sure about ~ can you explain what you mean please Maria, I havn't a clue yet what i am supposed to do, every time i do an Angel reading, the cards tell me to wait - everything will fall into place, and study/research, ~ but i am not sure what i should be researching yet. I don't even know if i am ment to do shamanism or if these animals are just my spirit guides to aid me in my Reiki.
