Healing the dead
Hi
I'm not entirely sure about this but was wondering whether anyone had advice or experience. I've been doing mostly Reiki but since then have been contacted by a a wide range of guides. I have been looking into getting into Reiki as a profession but something is holding me back as I am also very keen on creative writing. Somehow the healing and the writing are linked and are meant to work together but I'm not sure how.
Today as I was meditating with my work future in mind I was suddenly transported into what looked like a church full of skeletons. It seemed to be at the time of the Plague. Anyway, I felt a light in my head expanding outwards, and told the skeletons to join hands with me in a big circle. I sent the light through that circle and they all turned into lights too, and then vanished upwards.
I've had similar experiences before during meditation, seemingly a spirit coming for Reiki or healing. So I was wondering whether it was message for me that I have a 'job' that way, only thing is, it's not easy earning a living from treating and helping spirit. Is there anyone else who does this sort of thing? I don't pick up messages from objects or feel or see a presence. I'm not even sure whether they were from people or other dimensions out there. I haven't had any negative experiences so far, but am aware that loads of people write about nasty spirits, constant protection etc. This kind of clashes with what I believe in - but I am confused here and I'm not sure what to make of it.

Energy is asking you to help withh cleansings.this comes through when you have not properly protected yourself. Reiterate your Reiki that the energy goes to healing,although maybe this is where energy wants to go,ask and if it is not clear ask again. Spirit won,t let you starve,only yourself will let you.Reiki energy will come to you when you are ready to move on. Hope you can make head nor tail of this post, Ells

As the rescue of discarnate spirits is difficult work and beset with pifalls I would suggest you don't embark on it until you are absolutely sure that that is where your path lies. I've been helped a lot recently with a slightly different decision, by going to see a very good channel for some clearer advice from Spirit than I could access myself - you could do worse, if it feels right for you.
I have done rescue work as an 'apprentice' to a far more experienced psychic and I think this is a very good way to start on such things. On one occasion I let my guard drop and a spirit tried to steal some of my energy: luckily my friend had no problem setting the situation right, but if I had been on my own it could have been a messy affair. It was, in any event, horrible and a timely warning.[&:]
Rescue work inevitably involves working on the lower astral planes where the 'stuck' personalities hang out, and IMHO that is why you need psychic protection so much more than when you are channelling healing energy directly from much higher vibrational levels. Moreover I believe that during the healing process, using Reiki energy or, as I do, slightly different energies, the very fact of being a conduit for this energy offers the healer a high degree of protection. (I'm not suggesting skipping on preparation, of course, as we can easily be vulnerable if opening before having connected to the high levels we use.)
Please be aware that it is very common for discarnate spirits to be drawn to those using healing energy ( - my osteopath had a spectacular poltergeist for this reason [sm=jump2.gif] - ) and it doesn't necessarily mean that you're being asked by your guides to help them. It may just be those who have passed over who are asking you - and you needn't say yes if it's not right for you.
Also, and again IMHO and limited experience, those who have died don't so much need healing as they need persuading to cut the cords or habits that tie them close to earth and pointing to the light, where the next stage awaits them. There they will be cleansed and healed in every appropriate way, without the need to draw healing energy down into the dense astral layer which is perhaps not an efficient use.
So - working with the departed IS for experts and you need good advice and teaching to do it safely. If you have already gained this expertise in a previous incarnation you will simply find you return quickly to your old skills, but your present consciousness still needs to learn the procedures. :eek:

Maybe church could represent your Faith in your healing and skeletons could mean the body of people who you could help in your healing who are suffering with bone deceases and as you study and give healing you could also make notes and maybe write a book about you joruney. Circle of light healing Energy also vanished upward means succses for the future.
There are good spirit waiting to channel this love energy through you Im shore.

Thanks very much for your replies. I don't think I feel a calling to work with departed souls, it's just that experience I had, and I would rather leave it to the experts. I like your interpretation, lightwinds. It does make sense to me - I'm not very familiar with symbolism, even though in the past have got a lot of symbols and metaphors in my meditations. I am on a healing path, will be interesting to see if there will be any people with bone disorders.
I was wondering whether there are any recommended websites that explain symbols and help interpret these things.
