Reiki Soul Retrieval
Hi everyone,
I found this reference on another site, and was just wondering if anyone knew what the guy was on about:

I do not know how Reiki deals with this, but from my understanding Soul Retrieval is when some of the fractured parts of your soul are re-united again.
We are Spirit first and our Soul is the individualised aspect of the universal Spirit.
I can see no separation from Spirit and Soul, not really, because we are all one. However, our Soul 'detaches' from the Source/Spirit to begin a journey that will eventually lead it back to Source.
When I say detach though, Soul can just never be apart from the Source.
Our Soul then separates again into many different parts of itself because the more it can experience itself the more its awareness grows which is then fed back to Source/Spirit.
We are the sum of our parts!
Sometimes though, part/s of the Soul can become 'lost,' although nothing is really 'lost' it just thinks it is......this means it has forgotten itself.....this is when a Soul Retrieval will help.
Nothing is ever forgotten and certainly the Soul in its entireity cannot forget itself, so when one part of itself is 'lost' it will send out another part of itself to retrieve that lost part of itself.
So one part of the Soul reminds the lost part of itself to remember its part of the journey, which is unique to itself, although it is still a part of the one Soul who is a part of the One Source/Spirit.
This is when somebody walks into our life for a certain amount of time and helps us through a challenging and/or difficult time of our life.
They then leave!
This other person may well be another part of ourself come to help, for the good of our wholeself. This is why we sometimes recognise another who we've never met before.
This is just one way of retrieving a 'lost' soul...the universe is limitless and so there are limitless ways to do this; but our Soul knows at the level of Itself what it best for a part of Itself at any moment in time.

A part of the soul-self breaks away and stays stuck in time, attached to a belief that it must stay separated from the rest of the person in order to not only survive itself, but to insure survival of the whole person. This part of the self is no longer integrated and is unavailable to us. Our health may suffer.
So since your Reiki Master has trained with a shaman, she might have integrated this proces into her teaching..
