How To Make A Protein Shake???
Hiya everyone
Can anyone help?
My hubby drinks Protein shakes, he buys the powder then adds it to milk to make the shake. The powder is very expensive, sometimes up to £45-50 a kilo. I was wondering is there anything food wise that I could use to make him a really good protein shake.
I made him one a few days ago using natural yogurt, honey bananas and peanut butter and it tasted lovely, but I'm not sure how healthy or how much protien it would of had in it.
Thanks.

Dave Page If its a body building shake he is taking, then there probably isnt any natural way you could make a shake with the same amount and level of protien in it, and if there was the cost of the ingredients would probably make it more expensive in the long run - and not as convenient.
When I am training up at the gym (not for quite a while now cause of my back problem) I tend not to go for the mega expensive protien formula's but used to stock up whenever Holland and Barratt had a sale on. You can get Met-Rx Supreme Whey online quite cheaply for well under £30 for a 5lb tub. When I get my back sorted out and start to get back into the gym, I will be getting some of that stuff once I have trimmed down and ready to start building muscle again.
