Yes it certainly can. It will allow you to connect with your subconscious and let your subconscious work out where it's coming from and how it needs to be dealt with. It's not a miracle cure though... maybe have a serious think about what you have to gain from being jealous. Sometimes it can be the strangest things!!!

Yes, I agree with the post above. You could either find a hypnotherapist, or a good NLP practitioner who will combine NLP and hypnotic techniques that can change your thoughts and feelings.
Is this something you've been dealing with for a while? Does it relate to a specific situation (concerning your husband) or do you find you have those feelings in several different situations? Just a couple of questions for you to ponder.
Happy to help if you want to go any deeper.
Warmest wishes,
Ian

Just out of interest, was that trying EFT by yourself using the free manual or did you visit a qualified EFT practitioner? If so, how many sessions did you have?
EFT, FREEWAY-CER, Hypnosis, NLP etc. are all very good at dealing with emotional feelings.

Hi Leogirl,
Hypnotherapy can certainly help, though as a practitioner, I prefer to use Time Line Therapy, or Temporal Dynamics with cases like these.
TLT is used for dealing with negative emotions; anger, sadness, fear, hurt and guilt. Jealousy is a combination of these. The benefit of TLT over EFT is that it works at an unconscious level. With EFT you have to be specific about the root cause, and deal with each issue on an individual basis. With TD the process is wholly an unconscious one, and will both clear the negative emotions,by reframing how you look back at the situations when you used to experience those feelings, and design how you will feel when faced with similar experiences in the future.
If you would like to discuss these options further, or compare to other types of therapy, feel free to contact me, and I will be happy to further explain the process.

I suggest you stop building your life around other people and begin to look inside yourself and learn to value yourself. Jealousy is borne out of thinking that you own things especially other people. You don't own anybody - we are all individuals including children, they are individuals in their own right and as parents we're here to guide and nurture and encourage their individuality.
So where are you and what can you do for yourself. Who are you? Hold 5 fingers in front of your face and name 5 good things about yourself - then reward yourself - then reward yourself again when you can name 10 good things about yourself.
Hypnosis, EFT, meditation, chinosis are all brilliant ways to get in touch with yourself, but like energlyz said you would be better finding a good practitioner to keep you focused and to be your catalyst for change.
This is not about your jealousy and anger - this is about you.

Some useful advice.
Gratitude is indeed a very powerful for getting in touch with your emotions.
It is true, all change does come from within, and any therapist you turn to is only a to guide to assist you on your journey. I believe you have taken your first steps toward that change.
Temporal Dynamics or Time Line Therapy can both help to clear any residual trauma you may have from your loss. When you remember those events you will associate them with the fond memories, not sad.
I am not surprised about the depression. Question for you; are you on anti-depressants? I am constantly amazed how many people taking anti-depressants are still depressed! They just supress the emotions, not deal with them. NLP or CBT can help you get out of the depression.
I am confident that after just one session you can neutralize the unresourceful feelings of anger, jealousy, and depression. I would recommend more than just the one session though. The follow up sessions are useful to monitor and reinforce your new behaviours. After all, the negative emotions have been compounded over time, and it is okay to take time to change now. While it is unnecessary to reflect on the feelings themselves, it is useful to consider what they do for you. What do you get from them? What do they give you? In other words, what needs do they meet? For example, some people may say that they get the attention they are looking for. When you know what needs these unresourceful states meet, you have a very powerful resource to design and empower your future. These subsequent sessions will help you create the future you desire.
Realize that this is one of life’s experiences. Everyone experiences the highs and the lows. These are what make up the melody of our lives. In life, as in music, after the lows there is a high. You just listen to the music, and you change your mood. I am sure that you notice how music can change the way you feel. After all, it is only natural to experience new emotions as you listen to different pieces of music.
Speaking of nature, you know the saying “wake up and smell the roses”. Did you know that it is physically impossible to be depressed while you are smelling roses? Go on, try it. I dare you! Wake up and smell the roses!
Best wishes,
