massage therapists jobs

I am just doingfast track nvq 3massage training, swedish massage & in two week i start my aromatherapy, i did my beauty therapy level 2 a little while ago aswell. I plan to do some more nvq courses such as indian head ect...
I enjoy all the beauty treatments, but am really enjoying the massage side of beauty at the moment and was just wondering if there are many jobs for just massage therapists or similar roles? I haven't seen that many vacancies for that type of job just mainly for full beauty therapists which i would also be happy doing! Just trying to get an idea of my options. I am moving to Plymouth sept and would like to get some work there doing beauty/massage. Also if anyone knows of any good websites for these types of jobs?
Any advise would be good!!

Have you thought of maybe working for yourself / starting up your own business?

Answers:

Yeah i have thought about that aswell, just trying look at all my different options really. Do you know anything about setting a beauty business? i couldnt afford to rent a room in a salon just yet, and i dont drive so it would be hard to go mobile so doing it from home would be an option other than working in a salon/spa.
Thanks for replying!

You could try voluntary work in a hospice to help build up a reputation. There's couple around us thathave advertised for voluntary massage therapists I'm thinking about writing to them when I qualify in June, mainly because I like helping people feel better but also to help me build up a reputation and get a lay of the land. If you just want to do massage therapy then working for yourself is probably the best way. Good luck
