Client record question, VR2 and VR74
I have previously posted this message in "past exam papers", but unfortunately didn't get a reply, so please forgive me for posting here, as I take my VR2 and VR 74 paper tomorrow night, and still don't have a definitive answer if this question comes up! It just occurred to me that I may get an answer from already qualified therapists as opposed to those still studying!
I have had a look at some past questions on this site and have done some mock questions at college too. Most answers are common sense as many people on this forum have said. However, there is one question that was previously discussed on this forum, and we discussed at college too, and there there seem to be different views on the correct answer. We were told answer (a) at college, but on this site I saw a past paper stating correct answer (d). I just know this one will come up in tomorrow......
Please can anyone categorically confirm the correct answer to this question!
"Why should records of each client be kept "
a. It is a legal requirement
b. The therapist will need to see what treatments have gone before
c. You may need to send them to the doctor
d. The client might want to see them
Thanks very much, and wish me luck!

Answers:
'It's a legal requirement' is the main answer.
It's also, of course, useful for the therapist to see the history of treatments.
You have no requirement to send any papers to a doctor and under the Data Protection Act the client can request to see them, but stick with a).
Good luck.

Thanks Sarah!
That was the one I was most comfortable with, but you never know with these papers! There can be some ambiguity. If the question comes up, I will go with (a), and if I'm marked wrong, I'll feedback to this forum for future reference!
Best wishes
