ear canderling courses

Hi, i am thinking of doing a course on this as it seems quite big at the moment, and i was wondering how long it takes to learn this and what are the courses like? does anyone know??

I'd be interested too, as I am going to be doing this at the end of my Reflexology course in June, think that particular one is a days course, but I could be wrong :)

Hi froggy
I did an Ear candling course last June and yes you are right it is quite big at the moment. I have done over 30 treatments in that time. Although my course was Ok, i am sure that there are even better ones out there. I did one day's training and then a month later had an assessment. Also during the month i had two clients to treat twice. On my course we did not learn how to use an otoscope to look in the clients ears. Now i would love to use one of these so that i can see what i am dealing with. I know one place that does is TATh as i have been in touch with them. Their website is .
I hope this helps.

I would recommend qualifying through TATh, Thermo-auricular Therapy. They have a website listing courses.
The basic consists of a full day including pratical training and small exam, then you have 6 weeks to complete coursework, 3 case studies (each with 3 treatments) and an essay.
Once qualified you can go on to do an advanced which is otoscope training.
From what i understand this is one of the most recognised bodies.
Good Luck.
