Grounding
Hi there,
I qualified in Indian Head Massage last year, but find that after doinga treatment, my hands and face get very hot and the next day I feel very drained. Can anyone help me with this as I love doing treatments but find it is putting me off being so drained. I do ground myself by imagining tree roots going out of my legs through the ground as my tutor advised, but doesnt seem to be helping.
I would be grateful for any advice.
Thank you
Julie :)x

Hello:),
Try washing hands up to albowsin cold water with several drops ofjuniperberry essential oil, Before and after the treatment. Also goto a stone/crystal shop and ask for grounding stones.
Hope this helps
Take care

As Jessop suggested, crystals are a good way to go. Black tourmaline and/or hematite are very good grounding stones. You could put one in your pocket or on a pendant around your neck.

Besides being grounded, are you also "protected"?
Visualise wrapping yourself in a protective cloak / space suit / bubble etc. - see what sounds best for you - I like the space suit so I can still use my hands to work whilst staying protected. (I felt I'd need to make holes for my hands in the bubble so would loose the protection:D ! - but that's my weird imagination!)
I found that doing several therapies in a day would drain me in the early days but I noticed a how much better I felt after having my 1st reiki attunement - I reckon that's because I'm now channelling energy through me, rather than giving my own energies during the treatment.

Just read this thread and as we were never taught about "grounding" have found it brilliant.
Many thanks
