dull skin

I am looking for information on how to improve my skin appearance, my skin looks always white ( almost ill looking), sometimes patches of red, especially above the nose area, where i do have to say, frown alot. I would love to go without make up, but I do not like my skin being unbalanced. What do I need to take to help achieve a smoother, more even complexion?

Hi .......
as our bodies are made of what we put into them, our diet is the thing to adjust when our skin is poor.
The skin is a very revealing representation of what is happening within our body - redness usually indicates acidity, as do the other things you mentioned, and congestion and blockage generally, which happen when the body cannot eliminate properly, due to toxic build up. The liver becomes very overworked too.
I would really urge you to have a look at the websites I have already posted about on this forum, and look at your diet to see how acidic it is.
A milk thistle supplement would help your liver, but it is no good taking that if you continue to put acid forming foods into your mouth !
Detoxing would help to begin with, and then an overhaul of what you eat.
Once again , the book by Jason Vale 'Slim4Life' shows us how awful most of the 'food' we eat is, as does 'The PH mIracle ' book.
Should you already eat a brilliant diet with no caffeine, artificial sweeteners, sugar, white flour, dairy products and flesh foods then I apologise for telling you what you already know ! I would guess this is not the case tho' as your skin would be glowing and gorgeous !
My own skin has improved dramatically, and not just on my face, but generally, there is an energy about it.
Hope this helps ..........by the way have a look at the post 'big mac /beansprout? ' and the photos of them on the website mentioned.
Says it all !
