Crystal Healing Experiences
Hi All,
I am very interesting in healing with crystals. I read alot about the about the practice of it etc but I wonder if anyone has any first hand experience to share? Has anyone's health or life or well being in general actually been tangibly altered by crystals and what happened?

Welcome to the forum. Like you, I have a great interest in crystal healing and I really want to train as a practitioner.
I have seen two different crystal healers in the past year or so.
The first lady I booked to see through a local shop. I actually went there for help with my irritable bowel syndrome and subsequent fear of not being able to access a toilet when I need to...which has quite a negative effect on my life at most times.
Anyway, what I didn't tell the lady was that, due to being on the contraceptive injection for ages, my menstrual cycle had stopped and despite having been back off the injection for many months, it still showed no sign of returning.
About two days after my healing session, my periods returned with a vengence! Whether this was coincidence or not, it's hard to say, but I don't believe it was.
I didn't notice any real difference straight away with my stomach or my toilet-related panic attacks, but looking back, it has improved a great deal. It's hard to know whether this was a direct effect of the healing session.
Then I saw a different crystal healer who was a friend of a friend. I didn't really have any particular reason for going, just any excuse to talk to someone about crystals really! But I did tell her that I was feeling really low about my job at the time and that I was not able to remain rational about the idea of having to stay there until a new job came up. After seeing her, although I still didn't enjoy the job, I was able to continue going and just get on with things without really caring...whereas previously I would have got very stressed and emotional about not enjoying my job.
Neither exeriences are very measurable or clear to see a direct link, but I do believe that both results came from the healing that was applied to me.

Thankyou for sharing that. Those were just the type of experiences I was hoping to hear!
It's fine just to read that 'this crystal with helpwith this and this crystal will help with that' but I like to hear of people who have actually been helped, llike yourself. I think with most alternative or complimentary therapy it's often very hard to actually prove 100% what changes are directly attributed to that particular treatment as very often nothing happens straight away...or rather we don't see the effects of any changes immediately. As you say you gradually notice there indeed has been a change. Sometimes a change has occured where you never really expected one which is a lovely bonus surprise!
I have just at 41 found out my purpose on this earth and I believe crystal healing will play a part in that. I'm very excited! They are so beautiful apart from anything else aren't they? I went to buy some gemstones and it was lovely to see she that though she had been selling them for over six years she was still enchanted by them. She confessed that sometimes when she was alone she found them so beautiful she had to lick them!!!! I know exactly what she meant:)
Mind you I made sure I 'cleared' them throughly when I got home just in case she'd had her choppers around mine:D!

very exciting and funny reading! licking crystals! gosh, some people are really inspired. .;)
yes I am also very attracted to crystals and it is just normal (how could anyone not be?): all beauty in this world is encapsulated in crystals: light, colours, shapes, textures,...wouldn't it be nice if they also moved? and made music? and were warm? or created light on their own?
I am too interested in finding out about healing with crystals:
A) is it that the mystery and ritual surrounding crystals moves something in us - sending us unconsciously to a time when we had rituals for everything, in caves with stalagmitesor under trees - and therefore this emotion allows our energy to heal us, or
B) is it that the healer can channel her/his energies better with the help of crystals (as mediums), like using reiki involuntarily...? thus crystals would only be channeling tools?
C) or are crystals doing the job themselves, maybe working with the healer's energies, but nonetheless, releasing something special within them?

well I think I believe answer C. I think it's something from inside, although sometimes on myself I wonder whether i'm giving in to some kind of placebo effect, especially as quite often I've not even bothered cleansing and programming a crystal properly before using it ... tut tut [&:]
I'm not sure I like the thought of people licking my crystals before I buy them?!!!! Urgh! :D

same for me: I often neglect to cleanse and dont really belive in programming anyway....sounds like a computer-thing, and anyway crystals are big enough to know what to do!

On the one hand, gazing down at alll their beautiful colours they looked like brightly coloured sweeties so I could totally relate but from a customer perspective....not too keen[:'(]:)

ahhhhh..it makes sense now: you mean she licked the pebbles rounded little crystals?
some relief here, I thought you meant she licked crystal points and triangular or twisted shapes like Apophylite, amethyst or aragonite!!

If you had told me a year ago that I would believe in crystals, I would have laughed at you; however my first experience made me a believer.
On my birthday I had come across a really gorgeous Amber ring set in silver. Normally I am not a silver person and will not wear it; but for whatever reason I had to have this piece. I put it on while I was in the store, and did not take it off for several weeks.
One night I was on my computer researching alternative therapies for an equine ailment and google brought up a crystal site. Not having had exposure to the topic of crystal healing before I started browsing through, thinking somewhere it pertained to horses. I never didsee anything horse related, but I did run across a description of Amber and it's properties. That particular site had described Amber as being a "happy" stone and good for the treatment of depression. I do not suffer from depression, but work had been stressful lately causing me to be more irritable and generally unhappy than I normally am. I thought, what the he** I could use some happy! So, before I logged off I read up on how to get me some happy :D
That night when I went to bed I took my ring off for the first time and taped it right above my belly button. The website said to place it on the Solar Plexus, but I was unsure exactly where that was; so Iput it in what I thought wasthe general area. I laid down in bed and tried meditating as the website suggested, but never having done this before I was having a hard time being still and having a quiet mind. After about 15 minutes of unsuccessful meditation attempts, I thought I'll just sleep with it on and maybe that will do the same thing. I rolled over to go to sleep, and as I did so my right knee cracked/poppedin 5 or 6 places almost simultaneously(it was so loud it woke my husband lying next to me) and a blinding pain and heat enveloped my entire knee. I laid in bed gasping for a minute, blabbered out something happened to my knee and got up to try to walk it off. It felt like liquid fire inside my knee, and I felt wetness with the heat, like a sluggish stream of liquid. I thought I'd somehow bloodied my knee and went into the bathroom but there was nothing visible on the outside of the knee.
I finally went back to bed, but woke up 2 or 3 times during the night with intense pain and heat in my knee and that slow, hot, liquid feeling. The next morning before I got up I noticed that my knee no longer hurt, but that the dripping liquid feeling was still inside it. I got up out of bed and was halfway to the bathroom before I realized I was walking normally.
A riding accident 4 1/2 years ago resulted in a horse rearing up, flipping over backwards and landing on me. In his scramble to get up he stepped squarely on my right knee and thigh. You can clearly see the hoof shaped indentations on my leg. X-rays showed no broken bones (thank god) but the knee never healed properly and remained the size of a smallwatermelon. Nerve damage in the area prevented me from feeling if someone was touching from my knee about 6 inches up my thigh. I could feel pressure but could not pinpoint the location. I could not go up and down stairs normally, I had to inch my way along. I did not have full range of motion of my right leg, and could never straighten outknee. Sitting or driving for long periods aggravated the condition, and overuse by walking hurt badly too. I could no longer ridedressage or jumping because the knee would beimmensely painful for daysafterward. I finally stumbled upon a sophisticated jointed stirrup that made riding more tolerable, but I still could not jump, ride for more than a half hour, or mount without a block without a guaranteed 2 days of intense pain following. That is a brilliant story, and a great example of a crystal just doing its own thing! As a crystal healer, I can testify to a lot of definite results. People often come with stress and worries and report that they feel as if a heavy weight has been lifted off their shoulders. Back problems seem to respond well to treatment - I had one lady who'd had constant lower back pain for months and after three treatments it had vanished completely and didn't return, even when she went sailing and was lifting a very heavy anchor! I particularly remember that the crystals I used along her spine were absolutely red hot when I removed them (and we were healing in the middle of winter).
My own son damaged his knee and the doctor was all set to place him on a waiting list for an operation (he's only 13 and a mad keen footballer) so asked us to come back in four weeks, during which time I applied regular crystal healing and the swelling completely vanished so we didn't need to keep that appointment. And my son is a sceptic (his favourite comment being "mum, why are you swinging a rock around on the end of a chain"!) so it wasn't even his own belief that did it..........I could go on.
It's great that you're all into crystals. I can thoroughly recommend the Diploma in Crystal Healing which I studied through the Insititute of Gem and Crystal Therapy (Sue and Simon Lilly who've written so many brilliant books - check out their "Crystal Doorways").
As to licking crystals.....I have a stall with lots of tumbles and the children are always absolutely fascinated by them.They say they look like sweeties so you're not alone!

I couldn't help smiling at your story and was reminded of the old Buddhist proverb "When the student is ready, the master appears". All those little synchronistic steps which brought you to your own healing. The first thing I learnt on my crystal course was 'physician heal thyself' and it was truly a journey and a half!! I, too, can highly recommend Sue and Simon Lilley - very down to earth and immensely knowledgeable. Oh, and crystals are wonderful for healing animals too - the Duchess of Bedford uses them on her horses (think she's known as Henrietta, the Marchioness of Tavistock now). You would be in great demand as a qualified Crystal Therapist for animals, so how about it?
The crystals are calling to you! They are even more wonderful when used with Reiki and animals love Reiki too. More food for thought!

I think it would be great fun to learn to be a crystal therapist for animals. I googled Sue and Simon Lilley but they don't seem to have anything in my area (ohio). I'll have to keep looking for something in my area.
