itch - no rash
my husband has for some months now, been suffering from itchy thighs but with no apparent rash. he went to the doc who gave him some cream, which does stop the itch but is not treating the cause, nor is the cause being looked at.
he has had a tough few months, we just separated and bought another property and so now have a huge mortgage (both places) + bills etc, his dad was put into a residential home as he has alzheimers and his mum couldnt cope. she is 84 and has been in hospital alsmost since the new year (more or less as his dad went away... so there are some small blessings), with a diabetic caused nerve damage infection resulting in two ops to remove her foot just below the ankle.
so he has been spending much of his free time visting her, seeing his dad, sorting out his house or coming to us (2 teenage kids). our relationship is now very good and relaxed... cant live together but ok as companions. (the dark bitter days are some years back... this state has been coming for a long long time).
i reckon its stress, although thats a bit easy to say. he says he doesnt feel stressed but then you dont have to feel it.
so anyone got any other ideas (apart from him going back to the doc and getting some blood tests)? i did suggest he find a good complementary therapist.... <whistling>

It sounds very much like stress to me, most people if you ask them, will say they are not under any stress, but usualy are.
With everything that has been going off in his life at the moment i am not supprised.
I think once things have settled down in his personal life, you will find things start to improve.
You could always try your doctor again, but i dont hold out much hope in that direction.
I would ask for advice from the people on this forum, plenty of natural remedies etc, i am no expert on these things, so cannot advice you, only send my best wishes to you.
