Cosmetic Surgery (Liposuction)
Hi, everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has had liposuction recently, or in the past?
If you have, how long did it take for the results to show properly. I had it about six weeks ago now and I still have numbness, although the swelling has gone down and it looks pretty good. I was just wanting to compare notes with someone that's all.

Posh Totty Hi Purplepeach, I had Lipo over six months ago on my thighs, it was the best thing I ever did. I did however, take the full six months to get the full effect, but I have never looked back. Once you have had this done you will get the bug. I have had loads of little imperfections fixed If you have the money - why not.

purplepeach Hi thanks for your reply. I just wanted to compare notes and it seems that i am doing ok. It seems a bit of a scary subject on this site as you are the only one to reply and there must be others surely?
thanks again.

gilliebean I looked into it in March this year and went as far as the consultation. It takes at least 6 weeks to recover, but if you are having it on your tummy, they won't guarantee that you aren't left with lots of lumps and bumps:confused:
I thought about it a lot and eventually decided against the operation. My view was why put yourself in a dangerous position (all surgery can go wrong - although this does have a good reputation) to basically make yourself look/feel better. It is far better to learn to love yourself as you are.
The £4000 that the op was going to cost me, is now being spent on Hubby and I next year when we are going on a Cruise on the QE2 - at least we can both enjoy that - and the only lumps and bumps will be on the sea!:):):)

purplepeach Fortunately I don't need my tummy done, its totally flat and I have a good figure. However there is always an area that we're not happy with and in my case it was the top of my thighs. After Lipo I am the shape I wanted to be. I have no lumps or bumps and as for the danger of an op. They don't give a full general with this procedure so it's not like a major op. Plus it was £3,000 (not £4,000 in my case) and money well spent. My hubby and myself are off to The Seychelles next year for our hols so fortunately for me I didn't have to choose, I can have both! xxx
