Blocked ears
Hi All,
I have constantly blocked ears i have been to the GP and he says that they are fine but this feeling wont go away.I really do feel in cartoon style id like to get a towel put in 1 ear throgh my head and out the other to relieve the constant blocked feeling and pressure. It feels as though i have glue in my ears or a fish bowl over my head at times.
Just wondering if anyone has suffered the same or has anyone any good advice to suggest...

kipling Yeah I had really badly blocked ears a couple of months ago and it drove be quietly insane! I could feel them clearing and then re-blocking; I used some olive oil (the stuff I had in the kitchen cupboard was fine) in each ear and a wad of cotton wool to stop leakage. I think I put the oil in three or four times a day over 4 days; towards the end the wax was coming out but I did book an appointment to have them 'syringed' at the doctors. Actually my hearing was getting a lot better, but there was still a lot of wax in there.
Today they use a water pressure regulated 'gadget' that squirts a constant pressure into your ear, with a curved tube that enables them to get into your ear. It's an okay experience and after the olive oil softens the wax up, the water cleans it spectacularly.
Usually the nurse checks out your ear drum using a viewing scope and can tell whether there is any wax left. I found instant relief once the ears were washed out.
