I am at my wits end with what to eat
Hi all.
I have been suffering with tiredness for a long time, as I have said before it's not just ordinary tiredness it's just horrible, and I also get a headache and then it feels like I have a hangover, sometimes I think I know what it is, It's been candida, wheat, carbs, but now I think it could be low blood sugar. I feel good if I don't eat any carbs, I eat fruit now, and veg, and sweet potatos, but can't eat anything with added sugar, I hate tea without sugar so put one spoonfull in my tea today and felt terrible. Also I can hardly walk I feel so weak sometimes and my heart beats fast, and I do feel shaky in the middle of the night, and get bad nightmears, I am not diabetic because I have that tested every month, the reason being is I am a transplant patient.
Is there anyone who suffers with the same symptoms and if so have they got low blood sugar?
Hope to hear from someone
Bye Maddie

Maddie, have you spoken to your GP about this? Can they suggest what it might be?
Don't forget that fruit has lots of sugar in, in the form of fructose. Sweet potatoes also have natural sugar in them.
Your description sounds similar to my best friend who has a leaky gut. She takes various medication for it and has also seen a nutritionist, so it might be worht you see a nutritionist too perhaps who can help you work out what you can and can't eat. Reflexology may also be good for to help balance your endocrine system.
Hope you feel better soon.

I have recently been reading about pH levels - in an e-book by Mark Anastasis.
He then recommended Dr. Robert Young who has a book 'Sick and Tired' - which may well explain possible causes - and he has a web site which I can give to you if you are interested.
Finally for the moment an Australian author Rob Gellatley in his book 'Internal Health: The Key to Eternal Youth and Vitality' - relatively expensive at around £20 - £25 - but well written, easily read and amusing.
He may well be the first port of call.
One point he makes [amongst many others] is that one's Liver may need attention.

[sm=hug.gif]Hello maddie.
Your best bet would be to see your GP. Especially as you say you are a transplant patient, we can all give our opinions but being a transplant patient, needs to be treated and diagnosed by somebody medically qualified.
it may be nothing serious we dont know. but for your your own peace of mind you have to get it checked out.
take care

Hey, poor you, that does not sound nice at all! A few months ago I was suffering from daily headaches, tiredness and weakness. I went to my GP and had a blood test and it turned out I was aeneamic (bad spelling!) so they offered me iron tablets, but instead I just changed my diet to include more iron and it worked well, I still have days where I feel weak but I just add more iron filled foods into my day. I don't know if this could be what you have, just the symptoms sound similar so I thought I'd mention it.
Keep posting and let us know how you get on.
Take care.

Hi Maddie
You poor thing - sounds awful.
I am also a transplant patient - kidneys- and what you are experiencing may be a side effect of one your immunosuppressant (spelt wrongly I think!) drugs. My medication had to be switched so many times until they found the right one for me. I had various side effects on all the drugs until a new one came out and bingo - haev been fit and healthy since! You may also be anaemic which will keep you feeling like this.
I also suggest you talk through the blood results next time you visit transplant clinic, explain how you are feeling (write it down if you think you may forget) and ask if there are any other drugs you can take instead. See how it goes.
For your sugar in tea - could you not take a sweetener instead? Best of luck to you and yor transplant. Hope you find a solution.
Love and light

I have a thread on the section about CFS/ME, but I can relate to all that you are going through. After being TIRED, like yourself and suffering from these kind of symptoms for years I came across a book by Andy Cutler entitled 'Amalgam Illnes; Diagnosis and Treatment. I read the book and realised that all my symtpoms for 23 years were caused by the Mercury poisoning from my dental fillings. You can get a copy of the book by searching for I spent years trying the alternative/ allergy/ food intoerance routes and got nowhere. Intolerance of sugar and alcohol is a classic sign of mercury poisoning as is night sweats and feverishness, but you will need to read the book to make sure.:)
