Conjunctivitis
Hi
Yesterday my eye felt a bit 'scratchy' and sure enough I've woken up this morning with a mild case of conjunctivitis. Does anyone know if it will go away on its own or if I have to get some drops? The reason I ask is that, in the past, I've usually got a presciption for chloramphenicol from my GP but it's so difficult to get an appointment with my new doctor I'm just as inclined now to wait and do nothing in the hope that it will clear up on its own.
Interestingly, I feel a bit yuck in general - so maybe the conjunctivitis is part of some other malady. Luckily I don't have to go to work today so I can have a bit of a lazy day without feeling guilty about it!

PS I know to bathe the eye with boiled water.

Hi sunanda
When I get conjunctivitis I buyBROLENE from the chemist for it - it's a small tube of ointment, not too expensive. You might like to try this, as well as going to see your doctor though.;)
Hope this helps.
