Losing weight

Hi guys and girls,
I need your help...I'm italian and moved back to Italy in July after 9yrs in London. I've since gained a bit too much weight, maybe cause I'm not working yet, maybe cause I'm not exercising as I used to, maybe cause I keep picking on food...even if is rice cakes etc..
Now, anyone of you has a diet that works? I'm ready to follow it completely. I'm tired of all those crazy diets that eliminates completely carbs, as I love them and need them or I feel really tired.
Please help me...
Love and light to all of youXXX:D

Hi Lauretta
I know how that feels, I came to Luxembourg 28 wks pregnant and since had another 2 babies over the 7 years I have been here and put on a whole load of weight. But, never fear, you can loose it and if you do a google search on the internet for the idiots diet, there is a database that you can choose the foods you like and it will update every 11 days as you stay on the diet for 11 days then have 3 cheat days as I call it and then start another 11 days. You will shift the weight pretty fast and I must stress, you should also try to exercise atleast 30 minutes per day if poss. Hoovering those ceramic tiles you probably have there in Italy will do the job and a once over with the mope too each day! If you can't get to a gym, try a long walk, but not at snails pace!
Good luck, any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Love
Julie xxxx

Hint (off the top of my head but from the book: Outsmarting the female fat cell)
Your body produces an enzym that helps to break down the fat cells in your body. This enzym is only produced when your heart rate is between a certain range. To calculate your heartrate range:
Lower end of range: (220-age)*0.6
Upper end of range: (220-age)*0.75
If you exercise for at least 15 minutes a day, keeping your heartrate between the lower and upper heartrate range points for your age then this will help in burning off the fat.
I see so many people at the gym who are overweight and going at the machines like a mad thing. The problem there is that they are increasing their heart rate too high so the enzym insn't going to be produced. They will still be exercising their heart and burning calories, but not breaking down the fat cells.

Diets...ive tried every which one, all to no avail because when you 'come off them' so to speak you just put the weight back on.....only way really is a 'life' diet, healthy eating all the way, this doesn't mean starve, but everything in moderation....
i too have a passion for carbs, pasta, potatoes....with lots of creamy sauce! :)
but in saying all that, the Slimming world diet....you can find it online....it will give you some idea of what you can eat, which is almost anything, they have a protein and carb day, amongst other variations, you choose, a sensible diet, lots of variety, need to exercise though for good results,
but you're never hungry, you need to do some prep for meals, some great menu's,but all in all its no hassle.
try it and see

Dieting is not a good thing. You shouldn't deny yourself anything, as that will probably result in overeating. The best way to balance your weight is to adopt a healthy eating plan for life. The word diet automatically makes me want to eat even if I am not hungry, so I try to eat healthily most of the time and if and when I want something not so healthy I have it without worrying. I think it's all about the 80/20 ratio, if you eat healthily 80% of the time then you can indulge your cravings for the remaining 20%. Also I know that exercising allows you to eat more of your favourite foods without putting on weight. I read so many good reviews about rebounders so I bought one. Before I began rebounding I used my eliptical trainer and free weights which worked well, but the rebouder is amazing. It is reasonably priced, doesn't take up too much space, and just using it for 10 minutes a day can have great results. It strengthens your whole body, and it really helps you stay healthy. If you do want to purchase a rebounder, make sure it is a rebounder and not a mini trampolene which only have 4 legs, and can be dangerous and unstable. A good rebounder will have 6 legs. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

[align=left]i know what you mean about the life diet just eat but all in moderation. one of the biggest things that i have found that really sucks is going to an all you can eat buffet i dont nearly get what i pay for and end up overeating. i pay for the next few days cuz i dont feel so well from overdoing it. i dont do the buffet but maybe 2 times a year i have a very large family so it can get expensive really quick.

Hi, I have lost weight over the last 18 months simply by watching what I eat. In my job out and about I often called in for pies and pasties. Now I tell myself have a banana or tracker bar. I dont leave anything out simply eat less and reduce the amount of anything obviously fatty.I walk a lot with doggy. I have always been tubby, and was 15st 10lb. I am now 13st 10lb and aiming for between 13st and 13st 8ib. I still enjoy beer regularly, and once everytime I have a run of early shifts I treat myself to a Jumbo Full English Breakfast so I dont feel cheated. I am now a 34 waist and feel so much better, proving that even someone with no will power can lose it. Windynights.
