tiredness
I guess I'll start by saying a little about myself - I am a young college student who has a surprising hectic/long schedule, I also enjoy napping. And lately I've been having trouble staying awake, alert, and focused during my day to day activities. I was just wondering if anyone here has experienced these symptoms and what syndromeit wound up to be. I found a lot of useful infomation, such as test/questionnaires, on the two sites I've listed below; but I'm looking for more if anyone has anything to offer.
I've also been reading up on a wake promoting agent called Provigil. It might be a way to solve my daytime sleepiness. And I was wondering if anyone out there has any comments or experiences with it. If anyone wants to research the pill any further, I've provided a link below.
Hope someone can help/offer up advice.
Thank You.

:eek:I knew someone with this kind of"problem" , i cant say much but he took selenium pills. they did help. it seems to be that sometimes tiredness could come from low level of minerals in our body.selenium specially would help men.
i dont know if my opinion is of any use to you, but i hope so, i just thought to tell you.
best wishes,

If you're saying that your sleepiness problem does not seem to be something that can be solved by merely getting more sleep, then you might want to research Narcolepsy as a possible cause. Just a thought.

Hi sleepiness_vs,
I think your problem is coming from mental stress and fatigue. Being a college student you need to be very enthusiastic now. Actually I’m also suffering with a stressful life. But I’m much elder than you!! Anyway, you can see this topic: General Health Discussions >> Stressful life in this forum, where you can find my problem. Someone out there has suggested me to use Ashwagandha. By using it I’m feeling comparatively better. Yet I don’t know whether it can permanently solve my problem or not. But as it is an ayurvedic product so you can also try out. I’ve searched net and found that Ashwagandha is a good product for reducing fatigue and stress. Apart from that I think you need to do some free hand exercise or yoga/meditation….obviously after consulting with experts.
