Perspiration (sorry)
Sorry folks but I have got to ask, what do you do if you don't agree with antiperspirants (you will however be pleased to know that I use deodorant :D)? Is there any magical way of keeping dry on hot days? It does not look very ladylike to have puddles under one's arms.
Sorry again, not a very nice topic but it is a pain!! [:@]

Try using one of the crystal ones. I have switched over to one and find it really good.
It does take some getting used to - as you dont feel like you are putting anything on, but after a couple of days its fine.

I thought the crystals only worked as a deodorant and not an anti-perspirant.

Hiya - have yet to find a substitute for anti perspirant, the action of blocking the perspiration seems to have to be chemical and as such not a good option. It's a similar problem with nail varnish (its the sticking to the nail that they cannot yet substitute with natural ingredients) and with suncream, even the better ones still have some ingredients I would prefer not to use. If I find any more info will keep you posted! I trial products intermittantly for my family as I am trying to replace as much as I can - some are ok, some arent!!

It may not be 'lady-like' but it is your body trying to eliminate toxins etc.. there has been links with anti-persperants and breast cancer.. (blocking the pores leaves no-where for the toxins to go).
I find the salt crystal ones fine, and some essential oils for a nice smell. The choice in tops can make a difference to what shows sweat.
Hope this helps.

As much as society finds it distateful, it is natural to perspire and to prevent ourselves from doing so can only be harmful in my opinion. Some of the natural deoderants with essential oils are quite good, but obviously, if we are used to anti perspirants I don't think anything will match up to them.
I didn't find the crystal ones very useful and now use essential oil roll on type ones.

I think you are right Maya, it's got to be down to the choice of clothing and its colour. Which in my experience means that it's probably best to wear white or black since everything else seems to show up perspiration (and I look half dead in very pastel colours alas).
