Ecezema in Ears

Hi all,
I've been given cream (which I use on my hand) she told me to put it on a cotton bud and gentle put it in my ear.
Does anyone have the same problem? If so what do you do to ease the ever annoying -can't scratch it - itch!

I've had ear eczema for about 2 1/2 years and nothing has helped the itching. I started HopiEar Therapy in December and now have it every2 weeks! It stops the itching amazingly but I know when i'm ready for another treatment!

Hi,
That's funny because I'm just qualifying as a practitioner in ear candles but for some reason I thought that maybe that had caused my problem?!
I'll give it another go then :D
Thanks,
Siany

Cream blocks up the ears and olive oil is best because it doesn't. The reason it itches is because the skin is drying and pulling so if you lubricate the skin with oil, it softens the skin and stops the itching. However, ears are about listening so you might like to track it back to when it started and what didn't you wish to hear? Heal the root causes of the core issues and then it will heal completely inside and out.

Have you tried using aloe propolis creme on the eczema? Although not in the ear, my son has had a fantastic result from using it and really now has super skin.

Answers:

using creams is often just treating symptoms - when it's bad you are grateful for that, of course, but long term you need to look at sorting out the underlying problem - ears don't itch for no reason! - there's lots of possible routes for that.

How interesting... I have demetitis on my scalp and recently my ears have been itching like mad and I always have dry & flaky skin in my ears... I never considered that it could be ecezema!!

Nellie you may have psorisasis in your scalp - i had it for years, it involves itchiness and crusty scabs. I've recently used Pau D'arco Lotion on my scalp and a couple of patches on my skin and its cleared up. Its all organic and natural so may help you.

Neways shampoo and acalp conditioner is very good for this too.

Sounds awful but yes thats exactly what I have. I got a medicated shampoo from the doctor (not cheap either) and although it helps somewhat the idea is to leave it on your scalp for as long as possible... I go swimming alot and wash my hair in the communal showers so this isn't really possible and then I end up not using the stuff. I#ve tried using oil (Calendula) but again its finding the time to put it on & then having to shampoo the oil out so as not to look like a grease monkey Never hear of Pau D'arco but will have a look out for it. Cheers for that Aroma. Will also look for Neways products too, Thanks Jane. I do actually use organic gentle shampoo but doesn't seem to make any difference so could do with trying something else!!
