I'm so relieved
I just wanted to share my news with everyone, because I'm am so very relieved.
I started this morning with a call to the GP to get the results of my blood tests for Kidney function/cholesterol etc (I only have one kidney so they are pretty important to me.) and the receptionist told me that they had come in but I would need to make an appointment to discuss the results with the doc. [:o] Oh I said, that means they are not normal and I was told that there was a problem with my U&Es Kidney function. Obviously I was really worried because any decline in kidney function is going to have some pretty serious implications for me and I spent the morning in panic, anxiety and floods of tears........ anyway
I went to the GP who said everything was ok - a little blip on my platelets but nothing to be concerned about. Apparently reception didn't read the doctors note on my file saying "tell patient everything is ok." My cholestrol was also 4.4 which amazed the doc because 4 years ago when it was first tested it was 6.5 and I haven't used any meds only a moderate change in diet/fitness.
The outcome is PHEW! I am just very, very relieved (but also very, very annoyed at the receptionist).
