Feeling odd - any pointers?
I don't know if anyone can help me, but I would really welcome some opinions please.
For the last couple of days I have been feeling desperately tired - to the point that I have been physically shaking, feeling sickand have to lie down to make it stop. I slept for 13 hours last night (I'm usually a 6 - 7 hour person), and have slept another 2 hours this afternoon, and I still feel tired. It's not constant though - it comes and goes in waves.
What I can't work out is whether it is some sort of bug / virus (I feel fine in myself apart from this), or whether it is stress related. I was quite badly stressed recently but had a week's holiday and havefelt a lot better since then.
I did a tarot reading for someone on Wednesday evening and had to put quite a lot of energy into it, so hubby wonders if it is related to that? I've also been putting a lot of energy into sorting myself out in my head with all the stresses - dealing with underlying causes etc. Maybe it's just straightforward overtiredness? Also I'm due a depo injection on Wednesday next week so maybe its related to that.
So many ideas and possibilities - I just thought I would ask here to see what people think. Hope that's OK. (Maybe I should just go back to bed! :D) Any advice or opinions on how I make it go away as well? I'm carrying crystals and trying to harmonise chakras - maybe I'm trying too hard.
Love and light.

Hi Chrishta...sorry your feeling yukky. Theres so many nasty viruses & bugsgoing around at the moment maybe you've picked somthing up, if it was me I'd take a couple of paracetomol & go to bed...Oh & drink plenty of water;)
Doing tarot readings can & does really zap your energy but as far as I know I've never heard of anyone being drained for a couple of days after just one reading so I think you've picked something up, maybe you'd best pop to the doctors if your not feeling any better by Monday, or if you get worse go & see the out of hours doctors. Stress can also manifest itself in all sorts of ways....maybe look into having something like a reiki treament! Sorry I can't give you any holistic/crystal advice but you've asked in the right place for someone who can;)
Hope you feel better soon[sm=hug.gif]

Hiya Chrishta,
I'm sorry that you're feeling run down at the moment.
I find myself becoming periodically exhausted. I find for me that this is due to a few things... stress and (manic) depressionbeing some of the major factors! I'm not sure that 6-7 hours sleep a night is enough... I get around the same amount of sleep and tiredness tends to build up over the week(s) and I find that I need to sleep for a longer period on my days off. I work part-time, but long hours and exert myself both physically and mentally. I tend to take very short breaks at work or work through them and even when 'resting' my mind seems to be busy... nervous energy can very exhausting too.
I am forcing myself to relax more in my free time and make time to meditate, stretch/practice yoga, work on developing myself spiritually, read, create art... things I enjoy that are constructive and nurturingto me. It is so important to make time to relax and 'unplug', to do things for yourself. It is a great thing to be altruistic and use energy for things/people outside of yourself, but if you do not look after yourselfyou will be less effective/helpful.
Diet can help here too. Eating smaller meals more regularly rather than 3 large meals can be better as your digestive system will use less energy to digest the food. Make sure that you feed yourself on good quality food... plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, pulses, grains, cereals...to ensure that you are getting the right balance of vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids (e.g. Omega 3/6/9)... supplement your diet if necessary ( I am vegan and take vitamin B12 and Omega 3/6/9 daily, and vitamin C during the cold season)... avoid caffeine, alcohol, nicotine and sugar if at all possible... and exercise regularly. These are suggestions only... it all sounds a bit strict! :D
I hope this is of some help!
Blessings! Lisa x :)

Thats too bad your tired like that Chrishta. It sounds like you were getting stressed out. Especially in the winter time, we need alot of sleep to keep healthy in the cold weather. Maybe you need to find some time for relaxation before bed, then you might have more effective sleeps. Try sage incense and Hatha yoga before bed. If I do hatha yoga and meditaiton before bed, I have excellent sleeps.
But indeed, what I am picking up, is that most of the tiredness was generated by a reaction to some sort of situation, or dealing with something. I suggest taking it easy, letting it go, and just go for the ride. Take a couple of deep breaths, and relax, and make yourself believe everything is going to be fine. You will feel better if you simply believe you are going to feel better and have more energy. Cause even scientists know, that if you believe happy things, happy chemicals are produced in the body, and vice versa.
I am sending healing your way, I ask you to accept the healing, andbelieve that everything isok in your life right now. When you are sure that everything is fine, and your truely believe it, you will have refreshing and rejuvinating sleep.
If you look at a problem, and say, "im ok with it", it no longer dominates you, it gives you the chance to look at it from a different point of view.
Hope you have sweet dreams and rejuvinating sleep. Oh, btw, maybe youshould drink more water too? lol.

Thank you so much everyone for your replies - I really appreciate it.
Elyezual of course I accept your healing - thank you so much for that. I've just had a lovely night's sleep and am feeling fine at the moment. I'm trying to work on the positive thinking / happiness vibes / acceptance of life thing at the moment. I guess this is just another part of that journey.
Vegan Soul - thankyou. I do try to keep to a good diet - I don't eat junk food! I am trying to make myself drink more water - that really is one of my downfalls I know - and I've already had some fresh fruit juice this morning. I've got some lovely lentil soup (home made) for lunch - although I may have to try the little and often eating rather than standard meals. Thank you for that. We're going for a walk this afternoon in some nearby woodlands - the trees always calm me and the exercise / fresh air I'm sure will be excellent for me.
Ameliajane - thankyou for your reply. I didn't really think the reading would have done it but my husband threw it forward as an idea.
Thanks again everyone. Love and light to you all.

Dear Chrishta
Have you looked at the colour of your urine? Is it OK and clear?
If not it could be a kidney infection.
