EYE ISSUES!

Hi All
I'm new to this but just recently my eyes have got very tired with little floating black things in my field of vision and little bright twinkling lights when i look at something light in background colour can anybody help please?

Answers:

Well dunno if If you are having any artificial sweetners of any kind but if so cut them out....these are so dangerous there are cases pending where people have actually been blinded by them,
the FAA has warned their pilots not to consume them due to the damage caused to vision.

Answers:

No i don't take sweetners my body is a temple ( ok in need of some restoration but a temple nonetheless!! )

Hello DTK211
The best advice I think anyone can give here is that you consult your doctor, both for these symptoms andthe onesyou've described in other threads. That way you can receive whatever treatment is necessary, and your mind beput at rest.
Please let us know how you get on.
Best wishes,

I Don't hold out much hope for the doctors though been so many times and it doesn't matter if you go to him with a broken leg or flu the advice is the same give up smoking!!

Answers:

Well, for the sake of your general health, giving up smokingmaynot be such a bad idea.;) You have to WANT to though, and if you do, you'll get lots of support and encouragement on here from others who've done it! Perhaps your medical practice has a "quit smoking" clinic?
So far as your eyes are concerned, I don't believe you need to be referred by a doctor in order to consult an oculist. One phone call should clarify the position there, and that is what I would suggest you do.
There is a very simple test and quite painless, wherethe oculistputs a couple of drops in your eyes to dilate the pupils so they can have a good look. Visionis a bitblurred (from the drops) for a couple of hours afterwards, so you shouldn't drive. It's really nothing more than mildly inconvenient - I've had it done a couple of times - so a diagnosis can be made.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
Get an appointment with an optician. I had the same thing in the summer and he asked me to come in immediately as some of the symptoms I had indicated a serious condition (not the ones you are describing!). The test is straightforward and other than not being able to drive for the rest of the day and being a bit light sensitive I was fine.
Fortunately I was told it was an aging thing rather than the condition they were worried about, apparently the black bits are loose collagen which deteriorates with age and it is especially noticeable when the light is bright. Best to get it checked out though.
