"Dead-and sore feeling" hands
Hi all
Can anyone advise on waking up through the night with "dead" feeling hands? No matter which way my friend lies, she wakes up with the dead feeling and it is painful. Their doctor said it might bea trapped nerve in the neck but she's not aware of having done anything to herneck. It's been going on for months, with a short spell of it being away, but it's been back every night for2 months and is driving her up the wall. Just wondered if anyone has any ideas, thoughts or remedies on this as she would really like some help!
Thanks! :)

Hi RosyAngel
It sounds like your friend has may have something called "thoracic outlet syndrome". The tissuesat the base of the neck become very tight and compress the nerves and blood vessels which supply the arms. The hands are affected most, because they are at the end of the road as it were.
I would suggest your friend consult either an osteopath, a chiropracter or a physio who will do a lot of hands-on work. Whoever she consults, they should do their own assessment and diagnosis and not depend on what her doctor has said.
Good luck
