health crisis- can anyone be this unlucky?
Okay then, just seen a thread "broken therapist how would you fix me" and i see that the amount of fantastic advice being given is amazing, so i wanted to see if one of you very clever people could perhaps point me on the path to better health, because i havent felt HEALTHY in 8 years !!!!
here is a little history, i am now age 30:
at 24 i was diagnosed with gall stones ( I am a size 12, healthy-ish diet)
gall bladder out at 26
cluster migraines (since i was in my teens)
at 27 i got the epstein barr virus (think its related to glandular fever)
carried on going into work til my body crashed and after a year was diagnosed with M E (chronic fatigue syndrome, which i still have but it is better than before)
present day i have tons of headaches(atleast twice a week), reccurent thrush, oral and vaginal(think its candidiasis) on a monthly basis(down below)
found out i have polysystic ovaries which cause terrible moodswings, which makes me stressed out!,
acid reflux and heartburn, regularly
excessively sweaty palms,
irritable bowel sydrome (only ever diarriah-oops cant ever spell it/ sloppy spelling -sorry again, not that funny)
psoriasis (scalp)
piles
stress ( nuff said)
(NO THIS IS NOT A HOAX < I REALLY HAVE ALL THESE THINGS< AND IVE NOT TURNED TO SCIENTOLOGY YET)
ah , i think thats everything, now then, i assume there has to be a root cause to these symptoms, cos no body is that unlucky ..howver i do acknowledge there are pople FAR worse off than me so im not moaning!
any ideas or suggestions to improve my poorly body, im getting fed up
i try to eat healthy food, no processed stuff, and try to be calm(i dont succeed),
any therapies you can suggest? anything gratefully listened tox
cheers you wonder beings of the human race xx

Hello there,
Boy do you do have a problem or two!!!
My first impression is that quite a few of these problems are stress related and when you run yourself down properly, it effects your whole being.
I would recommend aromatherapy for a start as it can help reduce your stress levels and improve your frame of mind significantly, it can also help with thrush and candida issues, it is great for headaches, it will also help with your moodswings and if you suffer from abdominal pains. It can also help with your psoriasis and your bowel problems, so all and all it can help in most of your problems.
The oils can be used in oilburners, baths, for massage and body lotions.
I would recommend a visit to an aromatherapist and maybe for financial reasons, once you find what oils are the best for your various conditions, you could buy a few essential oils that you can use at home for various things.
And the other thing I can suggest is just trying to find a good way to unwind and relax, wheather it is in a bath, meditating, taking a walk in nature, what ever you find calms your mind and spirit. And just generally making time for yourself when you concentrate on enjoying yourself, not all your problems.
Affirmations can work on some level too, especially when meditating. You could try repeating things as:
I am relaxed and calm and happy.
I have perfectly healthy body and mind.
It also helps to visualize. See your body healthy and what joy it would bring you to feel well again.
These are my thoughts this Sunday morning, I am sure you will get a whole load of great ideas from others too!!!

Hi Wroufy,
Some of us here have come into complementary therapy via the route of extreme illness. I am glad to say that I went from preparing for someone to take care of my kids after I died to looking forward to a full and happy old age. If you learn basic EFT online at the emofree.com site for free, you can then log onto my chronic disease blog on my main website and adapt the self-treatments to yourself, also for free.
I hope this helps [&:]

I'd just like to say - yes, what Suzanne says -she's a great source of wisdom. One thing I took from Caroline Myss- is "Your biology is your biography" - by tapping away at emotional and physical disturbances you will release loads! It sounds as though it might take a little time and dedication - but will be so worth it.After learning the technique - really not hard - I'd do a search on Gary's web-site for all your ailments, and learn from what somes up.
Best of luck!(Donald Trump - ok not a great spiritual icon but still this is useful -"the harder I work the luckier I get")

Hi
You might find Heal Your Body by Louise L Hay useful for gaining insight into the causes of your health issues. For instance, she suggests that problems with the female genital area are down to how you've been treated as a woman (or not, as the case is, according to her findings).

Hi there wroufy
Thank you for your honesty and openness in sharing all your information with us. Here are my thoughts in no particular order - sorry but I'm talking out loud here :)
I have heard wonderful things of EFT, although I know little of it, and hope Suzanne's advice will help you. I also agree with Amaris that a stress reducing therapy may help to balance you and perhaps aid infreeing any emotional or mental blockages that will let your body get on with the job of healing itself. A reflexology client of mine has lent me a super book by Colette Harris onPCOS. This lady has PCOS herself, and has written a couple of very user friendly and thorough books on the subject. There is lots of useful information on diet, lifestyle, stress, coping strategies, complementary therapies etc. Speaking as a reflexologist I would suggest finding a reflexology practitioner in your area if this is something that appeals to you. has a resource where you type in your postcode and they tell you who is nearby. My sister in Warrington has a brilliant reflexologist but she may be too far away from you. PM me if you would like to contact her. I have found people with all sorts of conditions such as you responding well to reflexology, and finding that the pieces start to fall into place as their body finds its way on the path to healing itself.
Another thought is, have you posted on Healing and Prayers so that members of this community can send you distant healing and pray for you? It is a pretty powerful thing to have a number of people concentrating their efforts of you, and there have been some lovely stories on herefrom people who have benefited from this loving act. My very best wishes to you, and I hope you get and stay well very soon.

Thanks guys,
this is all good advice, and i am grateful you took the time to reply, i think its very easy to neglect yourself sometimes, i need to be good to myself for a bit. The stress factor is very apparent in my life, and i have yet to find a way to control or ease it, ive tried yoga, never really stuck at it though.
I have had a bad experience (how i was treated as a woman) and can see that it has poked its ugly head into much of my life to this day!and is possibly part of my stress factor..
I am learning to be an holistic therapist believe it or not, but i somehow find the strength to help others and not myself, i have limited energy and it is sapped with college and helping other people to feel better!!! Tha knowlegde i have is obviously limited to what i am learning, and i realise i ahve alot to learn, so all you advice is helping not only me, but others who will benefit from your wisdom through me, thanks again,
love kelly x
