Eye Test Worries
Hi,
I want to have an eye test but I am concrened as I suffer from hemi pleagic migraine (which runs alonsgide epilepsy) and I am really concerned with the lights that the optician will flash into my eyes - flashing lights can trigger HPM and Epilepsy.
Can anyone offer any advice or has any personal information, or indeed any sufferers of the HP migraine, - I guess I am needing reassurance as I'm getting really stressed about it. I'm in my mid 30's and I have never had an eye test. Would really appreciate your thoughts and advice.

I would have thought that if you tell the opthalmologist of your problem he/she will know what to do. After all, these people are highly qualified and surely will have come across this before. why don't you go into the opticians where you want to have your test done and tell them of your fears. I know it's very important to get your eyes tested (I just had mine done) so rather than getting stressed, go and talk to the people who know about this.
