bad circulation in legs
I treated myself to a st. tropez tan at the salon yesterday and whilst the lady was spraying me she commented that I had bad circulation in my legs (I wasn't aware of this) what can I do to about it any help would be appreciated, as I have got a real complex about it now.
Many thanks

aarggh i hate it when people say things like this...
she probably said this because your legs were cold or your your veins were standing up etc...however imo she actually has no business informing you that you "have" bad circulation, this is not to say that she could not have asked you certain questions but then considering you were only there for a tan!!! I do wish some people would think about how what comes out of their mouth affects other people especially when it comes to our health.
Anyway that aside, do you feel you have bad circulation, do you have problems with your legs or feet, do you have diabetes, do you heal well if you get cuts or scratches on your legs.....
Our circulation is always poorer when we stand still for a period of time (which I assume you were doing if you were having a tan) as the venous blood supply does not have its own pressure....so its working uphill so too speak, one way to help it along is if you do have to stand still for a while then clench your calf and other leg muscles and this will help the flow of venous blood back...
Of course if you are worried, or indeed had been worried previously and this has now added to a concern you may want to chat with your doctor, otherwise I would ask her what makes her think you have bad circulation and she what answers she gives....
