kombucha
i have seen alot of this lately at the health food shops. anyone drink this? what is it good for?

Hi Starfish,
I have drunk the Kombucha 'tea' a few years a go at a lady's home who I had gone to give a reading. It tasted lovely, slightly sparkling and very refreshing. I had never heard of it up until then and as I enjoyed it the lady gave me a Kombucha 'mushroom' baby so I could grow my own. She gave me instructions on how to treat it with reverence and the right conditions and said that once it had reached the end of its life to bury it in the garden to return it back to the Earth. I did give it a try but I think I wasn't getting the temperature right and although it had 'babies' the liquid never tasted the same as the lady's. After a few months the 'mother'stopped growing so I buried her in the garden with a little prayer of thanks for her efforts.
