3 Attachment(s) So I'm trying this new cutting/bulking diet/routine and its been working pretty well for me.
Are these results normal/poor/better than normal If im dieting/lifting correctly? Mind you, I used to weigh 289 lbs last year so my little love handles are being douchebags and don't seem to budge. What should I do about them? I want to up my cardio but I don't want to lose the mass I have. (which isn't much..)
I've basically been busting my ass this whole past month doing 4-5 days a week of 45 min cardio sessions and lifting hard, I've also been training 3 days a week doing boxing at the local kickboxing gym.
After - Day 1
Halfway - Day 15
After - Day 30
I can see a Diff... Good work man... Keep it up ;)

do you know your current weight? and how much youve lost?
You're making asesome progress so far! I'm not sure why you're going through the bulk phase, though, if your goal is to lose fat and some extra weight. Cardio is good, but you might actually be doing too much of it. Strength training will do more for you in the long run. Maybe try just 3 cardio sessions/week at 45 minutes, and get in a good 3 or so strength sessions.
Build muscle. Muscle burns fat. You lose the lovehandles. Not exactly that easy, but you get the idea. You might also check your diet. If your lovehandles aren't budging, most likely you're still getting in too much fat, which can hide in the weirdest places (such as protein foods).

I've been eating boars head turkey from the deli, chicken breast, egg whites as my proteins, and wheat bread/brown rice/oatmeal as carbs. Not sure where the fat is coming from...
you can really see the detail improvement, especially in your shoulders. great job bro!

I've been eating boars head turkey from the deli, chicken breast, egg whites as my proteins, and wheat bread/brown rice/oatmeal as carbs. Not sure where the fat is coming from...
Is this all you're eating? If so, it's not very balanced or nutritious. If not, then not only is there fat in some of the above-metioned foods, but other foods that you didn't list most likely have some extra fat in them. Also, think about how many calories you're taking in....it may be too much. It may also be a training issue, or genetics. If you're like me, getting rid of that extra fat around the midsection is going to be the hardest thing you'll ever do. But keep going, you'll get to a point where you can be satisfied.
All in all, you're making awesome gains. So just stay focused and keep working at it.
