Best Personal Trainer Certification to get?
Best Personal Trainer Certification to get?
i am going to get certified this coming semester and am curious which one is the best to obtain.
ACE will prob be the easiest and you can get a job at any gym with it
I'm going to college to be a personal trainer.
Food for thought
i am going to get certified this coming semester and am curious which one is the best to obtain. Rather than asking on a forum, here's what you should do.
Do some research, find out a listings of all the commercial gyms in the US and email them asking for preferred qualifications.
You could also try emailing the coaching departments for professional sports teams and ask the same thing again if you ever felt like advancing even further.
Just seems like a much better idea rather than asking anonymous people on a forum where you're unsure of their credentials. You cant go wrong with my approach.
Good luck.
ACE has a great reputation. I had ACE and ISSA (among the easiest to get) when I worked as a personal trainer and they were both perfectly credible for most locations.
agreed...issa you can take the test at your house, but its expensive
NASM is encouraged by a lot of the larger gyms like 24 Hour and Lifetime.
Any certification will work for most clubs. I think for Lifetime you need a 4 year degree. Most clubs dont care who your certified through since they only pay you based on your clients.
