"This is something that I feel needs to be cleared up. The mainstream body-building crowd would tell you "yeah, drink your whey with water after you workout, if you drink it with milk, the casein will slow down absorption".
Trust me, for what it's worth, it is much, much better to drink milk post workout. There are huge anabolic benefits of taking whey protein with casein post-workout [3]. Make the switch, and you will see for yourself."

- Milk is perfectly fine!
holy shit.... i drink about a gallon a day...
Not only that, i drink caesin (the glue) every night lol.
Interesting. That's fine though I hardly ever consume dairy products in the first place. I may have some cheese here and there but I don't have too much milk. I wonder if this is all true. Anyways, I decided to look up the book and I found an amazon comment by this fellow:
"Robert Cohen's sensationalistic book is right in pointing out the dangers of modern milk products which are pasteurized, homogenized, come from cows fed hormones and antibiotics, and have artificial vitamins added to them.
But the reasoning falls apart when it is applied to RAW MILK products, especially those from GRASS FED cows--a topic that does not seem to be covered in his book. There are numerous examples of healthy, long-lived populations groups who used milks of various species as staples of their diets, e.g., the Masai and other cattle-herding tribes of East Africa and various Semitic peoples in the Middle East (who used camel's milk). The reason why these peoples thrived on milk products was because the milk was not anything like modern milk: it was UNpasteruised, UNhomogenized, and from organically-raised animals. Additionally, native peoples who used milk products as part of their diet typically fermented them, which improves the nutrient content of the product and renders it easier to digest.
Curiously, Cohen gives the thumbs up to, of all things, soy milk, a highly processed food full of antinutrients. Allergies to soy and processed soy products are almost as prevalent as allergies to modern milk products.
This book may be on the money in its criticisms of modern-day milk products, but it is way off in its endorsement of soy milk and its lack of appraisal of raw dairy products from properly-raised animals."
So I guess organic milk is the way to go according to this guy but then again my background is science is slim to none.
Hard Copy? Just wait 'til 'A Current Affair' gets ahold of this!
That guy in a moron. He is just trying to scare people into buying his book. "Buy my book to find out the poison you're being fed blah blah blah"... he's full of shit. I drank a glass of milk as I watched that lie-fest. Deceiving scum like him shouldn't be allowed on TV.
i drink like 40oz f/f milk a day
I avg a glass of 1% with everyone of my meals throughout the day. They just don't feel complete without an ice cold glass of milk to acompany them.
a guy at my work talks trash about milk too.
i have read articles for both sides of the fence.
only problem i see so far is mucus build up. i have to clear my throat couple times a day but that is nothing compared to $2 a week 8 servings protein source in my book.
after watching that hardcopy thing it seemed like he kept making this bold claims and never back them up with any statements.
like the whole osteoporosis with denark and norway. he never said that they were the highest milk drinkers did he?
also when asked why we should listen to him, he rambled on about something and then said he was the only one to talk to certain people to get the "secrets" behind milk...
sounds like another Don Lapre money maker scam artist.
this is coming from a guy who looks like he's in shape...Nowadays everything is bad for you..from meats, soy, even vegetables; how their processed and sprayed with chemicals. I went to the doctor last week and he was telling me how filtered water and bottled water is bad for you.
...and his last name is "Cohen".... so... yeah, he's trying to sell a book.
i'd be nowhere without milk, it's pretty much perfect
You can tell this video was made at least in the mid 80's. I wouldn't worry about it. Today, the milk jugs say "no artificical hormones added" well, at least on my milk. What I didn't know what that protein doesn't alow your body to absorb calicum.. hmm.
I drink at least 3/4 of a gallon a day, and i feel fine. this guy's bluffin. I'd do more recent research.
i'd be nowhere without milk, it's pretty much perfect x10000000000000000

Milk is amazing.
Drink your milk.

Everyone saying milk is bad on that show is fat.
Also, "ITS LIKE EATING 5 MILLION PIECES OF BACON BY THE TIME YOUR 52." Hahahahaha.
EDIT: Jesus... I cant believe this. **** this guy. Drink your milk.
What a freaking tool! It's funny if he wonts to bitch about different crap in something he should have a look at local water supply's. If hes honestly concerned about health he would freak to find some of crap thats in our drinking water from local supply's.
I drink a few glasses of whole mik every day, and I also eat full-fat organic cheeses. I use Organic Valley, they're the only dairy products I can get around here that use grass-fed cows. It's pricey, but it's worth it.
It's the main source of food for a lot of baby mammals on this planet.
That alone should make you go "hey, this stuff is probably really good at making things grow".
I'm definitely going to take my advice about milk from some armchair general who looks like he has no qualms about the hormones in beef.
If you're going to drink milk, look into buying raw organic whole milk and then compare the difference to the store bought commercial milk...
Personally, I only drink raw whole milk from organic pastures...
I'm lactose intolerant, but I have no problems digesting the raw whole milk...
Same concept with meat products, that's why I only consume grass fed beef from grasslandbeef.com
Organic milk for the win! If your really scared about the hormones and all that, drink organic.
milk sure is getting pricey.. im just never home to have milk, so i have everything with water.. shake in the cooler packed with water so they dont spoil.. and in the morning im taking down some oats cooked in water and having a nice whey shake w/ water also
not a big fan of milk anyways.. cant really stomach 1% or 2% because of the thickness, but skim did the job when i use to eat cereal.. i just perfer oats now.. and taste great miced w/ some H20
