Fruit Flush 3 day detox or Fruit Diet, anyone tried them?
I was reading a book by Jay Robb called the Fruit Flush 3 Day Detox. I saw it in a health food store and thought I'd check it out. I never heard of the guy before but I guess he's been around for a while and I was just wondering if anyone tried the 3 day detox or the diet. It seems to make sense that a lot of fruit would be good for you but since I know nothing really about nutrition I wanted to ask. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jo

Answer:

I ate fruit for 4 days to readjust my taste buds because I couldnt stop eating unhealthy food. Worked really well.
You could switch to a fruit and veggie fast.
Some people advocate a fruit fast once a week.
Depends what your goals are.
Most ppl on these forums would see it as sin.

Answer:

Fruit a sin?
Obviously I don't really know anything about nutrition or I wouldn't be in the shape I'm in but I'm curious...why would they consider fruit a sin. It may not be real high in protien, I don't think, but it's not high in fat either. I don't get it.

A bowl of oatmeal delivers a higher glycemic load than fruit will, but oats are a bb food so it's ok I suppose. :)
To me, fruit/veggie carbs > grains any day of the week.

Answer:

LOL, you're funny. Ok thank you for explaining. I read somewhere too that many people think that fruit spikes insulin but that in actuallity it takes 90 minutes for fructose to fully reach the bloodstream because it has to go through the liver first and get converted to glucose but I wasn't sure because I read that in the book by the same guy reccomending the fruit diet and fruit 3 day detox.
