The Missing Link gravely ill with cancer
WrestlingObserver:
Byron "Dewey" Robertson, aka The Missing Link, is gravely ill with cancer at a hospital in Hamilton, ONT. That's sad to hear. One of my favorites as a child who had green face paint, whacked out hair and acted like a psycho.
He was in WWF briefly as The Missing Link managaed by Jimmy Hart and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. I can't find any of his matches from that time but I did find these:
WCCW: Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy vs. The Missing Link w/General Skandar Akbar
UWF: Missing Link & The Fantastics w/Dark Journey vs Sting/Eddie Gibert/John Tatum /Missy Hyatt
Parade of Champions: The Junkyard Dog vs Missing Link
Here's an article on this from SLAM! Wrestling:

That's sad I hope he gets better :(
Good finds, there was an edition of Piper's Pit on Youtube a couple of weeks back with him on but I cannot find it now, he never really fit into WWF they had their own loony George Steele and headed off to work for Watts after they got rid of him, Heenan said he thought he was an idiot as he thought because Heenan was his manager it meant he would sort out his airline tickets and the like and was shocked when Heenan said he would not. He beat his addictions to drugs and let's hope he can beat this.
Yes hopefully he will beat this. My prayers and best wishes go out to him. Link really was one of my favorite gimmicks of all time.
Piper was able to beat cancer, here's hoping The Missing Link can do the same
Well, rest in peace sir (as of early this mornin)...
Guys if any of you are a fan of wild, untamed and off the wall characters, you need to look for some of his work as The Missing Link and you will not be disappointed. I hear he was also a fantastic worker under his own name and while I have yet to see any of that, I'm sure that wouldn't disappoint either.
Once again, Rest in peace.
Dammit!! Not again. :(
RIP Dewey Robertson!!!
At least he's no longer battling cancer, and is in a better place. Cancer is one hell of a disease, couple that with Dewey fighting the disease of addiction, and you could imagine how tough his life must have been in his final years. On the plus side, he was able to release his book, and speak up against steroid, alcohol, and drug use as it pertains to wrestling. Good for him! May his soul rest in peace.

Thanks for posting one of those sources twice in a row. I forgot to post a source when I said RIP, but I guess that's no biggie. With me I don't think a source is even needed. People know when I say something, my word is good enough and they can take it to the bank.
