What to look for in a Dojo

What to look for in a Dojo
yeah, I recently moved from an area where I had a place to train alot in boxing, Ive had some Muay Thai and judo from a friend who taught me, now I plan to look for a boxing/MMA/Muay Thai gym, non of that family/kiddie tae kwon do shit that wont benefit me. Ive never had lessons from a gym teacher, just my father who was an amatuer boxer, and a friend who trained in Muay Thai and Judo for about 6 months. Im not sure what to look for in a gym/sensei, how do I know its not a fraud guy looking to get money with a black belt he got from ebay or something?

Answer:

Make sure they compete regularly, and that they train safely but intensely. That's all I can think of for now.

Answer:

what area of the country are you looking? lockflow has a school search by area and other MMA sites do as well...

Answer:

You need to try it out and go in with an open mind. Dont be saying, my friend told me to do this way....
