The Wife is Willing to COMPROMISE!!!!!!

The Wife is Willing to COMPROMISE!!!!!!
Alright my iron brothers and sisters! I have good news. Everything seems to be fixed for now. We had a great conversation a couple of nights ago. We have decided to compromise on this issue. I can keep training with the goal of competing again, as long as I manage my time in a way that does not put all pressures of home on her. When the baby gets here we will see what our lifestyle is like. If if can continue training the way I want to I can ... if there is just not enough time for her and I both to train then I will cut back.
As far as the steroid issue goes ... I have decided to try to do the next competition all natural. So I will be needing a lot of help from you all come contest time!
Thanks for all the words of wisdom, great advice and personal experience. It really helped me out!
Side note: How the hell do i get my avatar to show up so people know who i am and I actually do compete?

Answer:

if time is an issue focus on the weights at the gym and do cardio while pushing the baby, taking a walk with your baby and wife or buy a machine for home.
good luck and congrats to both you and your wife.

Answer:

Sounds like a fair compromise was reached. I just hope that your wife won't use "divorce" as an option to get what she wants from you in the future. To me that was the most unfair part of your situation. Sounds like things will work out fine.

Answer:

awesome bro good for you

Answer:

it's impossible to be all natural if you've used gear at any point in training. but best of luck to you. He can, he just can't do life natural shows. This was discussed in the previous thread that GymRat started on this issue.
I'm glad a compromise was reached with your wife! I hope all goes well :)

Answer:

Good luck and i 2nd what Venom said , hope she is not like that.

Glad to hear your situation was resolved. Look into musclemania and drug tested npc shows, i'm pretty sure they are one year drug free, when you hit organizations like the ocb, inbf, nanbf, inba, etc.. your looking at 3-5 years drug free

Thanks for the info. I have a couple of fellas in my gym that compete drug free. I will try to hook up with them and see what I can accomplish. Thanks for the support!

I had the same problem a while back, our child was born july 13 and believe it or not one of my biggest fears was that once the baby was born I wouldnt have time to train. In the end it all worked out fine, we just moved and i found a gym literally 1 mile from my house and now Im able to train 4-5 days a week no problem and no nag from the wife ( with some bribes here and there)

A rose here, a dinner there ... throw in a load of HER laundry and do it right ... your all set! Time to go do 30 sets of back and traps, "back in two hours honey!"

I'm glad a compromise was reached with your wife! I hope all goes well :) no, you're missing the point of "all natural", meaning you've never used gear or prohormones to make progress.

Answer:

no, you're missing the point of "all natural", meaning you've never used gear or prohormones to make progress. No, you're missing the point. He is going to be "all natural" for this contest prep... some drug tested show only require you to be "all natural" for a specific amount of time. "All natural" might mean lifetime natural in some orgainzations and 3-5 years in some, and one year in others. To some, "all natural" means no Pro Tan, or anything which you don't "naturally" have or consume in foods. To each his own.

Congrats. I did an NPC Natural show in June. The requirement was 3 years drug free. I know it sounds like a lot of time, but there are 1 years show out there as well and you can still do non tested shows naturally. No matter what you still have to train and diet hard. You'll just have more money for diapers while training naturally. :)

Answer:

Good for you in your resolution to spend time with the family. No need to sacrifice your relationships. I don't have any experience with competing, but I know where there is a will there is a way. So work hard and be proud of yourself for doing this naturally. 20 years from now your body will thank you.
