Anybody here have a keloid scar?
I have two of these things on my chest. Looks like pimples but they are keloid scars from shaving. Went to the doc and he said that surgery isn't an option because it'll only make them grow bigger!
Is there treatment for this shit? it's not a big deal, just kinda ugly looking to have 2 giant-zit looking things right in the middle of my chest.

I have a pretty big one right on my right arm/elbow that's noticeable and very embarassing. Overtime it has flattened out and gotten a little smaller but it's still big.
I also recently got a cut on my left upper back which is forming a keloid too which sucks.
I've heard of various treatments. A plastic surgeon can remove it or tuck in the skin to make it unnoticeable.
Or a more efficient way: Since keloids are formed by way too much blood clotting, doctors can cut it off so that it becomes a cut again, then put it under an X-ray or similar device to kill many of the blood-clot-forming cells and then let it heal on its own like a scab.
If I were you I'd hit up a local doctor or plastic surgeon and ask about treatments. I heard that really big keloids are untreatable. I'm going to consult a surgeon in a few years about treatment as well.
pics?
i think i have one where i got a mole removed. it sucks but id rather have that than cancer
Try mederma. I've been using it for half a month and can see a difference. The scar looks more flat.

Yes I have a couple. DON'T get an excision for them they will just come back from what I've heard. Its like treating a scar w/ a scar.
EDIT: Have you tried corticosteroid injections?
Oh and best thing is to deal with it and don't let it get you down. I have been self conscious about them in the past and it sometimes gets to me sometimes but for the most part it doesn't.
In all honesty you have a great body and the scars won't detract from that much at all :)
Lasers?
I got 2 small ones on my chest also :(
Sucks that there is no effective treatment for that yet
