question to Ambien users
question to Ambien users
For those who use Ambien to go to bed, I have a few questions.
Do you find yourself dependent on the drug to sleep?
After you use the drug for awhile, are you able to fall asleep naturally?
bump
I need help =(
If I visit my doctor , can I get free samples without paying to see him?
if u take it for anything longer than a month u will notice a dependancy... realistically its closer to two weeks but some ppl have a stronger will power...
theyre great to get you to sleep, just dont get hooked mate...

After you use the drug for awhile, are you able to fall asleep naturally? I will not be any help to your question but one time, and the ONLY time, i ever took ambien i was at a LAN gaming center overnight with some buddies and i being in the experimenting stage i popped an ambien. About an hour later i started hallucinating to the point i was unable to socially function. It was a dimly lit area with neons and population were all teenagers. I suddenly found myself in a haunted house that you go into on Halloween, it was no longer the LAN center. There were cobwebs everywhere and things of the sort, and the computer screen icon turned into a black and white ridge with a predator looking guy standing on the cliff edge. I knew i had to play games to not be given away i was fuked out of my head. So i tried and tried but found myself falling asleep every 10 minutes. I eventually puked and keep falling asleep against my will. It was a very intense trip. I will never take that again.

David, I know you didn't ask for this, but have you tried ZMA? I had sleeping issues too and now I use ZMA and it works better than the sleep drugs I used before without the sides. It's cheap, too.
Ambien even with insurance is expensive, and if you like sleeping then you will become dependent. You should try (if you have'nt already)Valerian Root, Celestial Tea, they make a nighttime version, ZMA like somebody already said and I have heard good things about GABA on another site. Lunesta is another prescription sleep aid and if you read up on it, it mentions GABA in the write up.

I think you were dreaming, dude. Ambien is a sleep aid.

no but seriously Ambien has been known to cause hallucinations and weird experiences but only if u take more than prescribed dose... tried it once (took two and some red bull) and i personally wouldnt recommend it....
I constantly wake up from nightmares, have episodes of sleep paralysis occasionally, and will see things in my bedroom that were in my dreams when I wake up (this happens numerous times a night almost daily, sometimes it's scary as hell and other times it's funny).
If I take one ambien, I'll sleep through the entire night without waking up once. I am kinda sluggish the next day though. After that night, my sleep cycle kinda resets itself for about 6 weeks....meaning I wake up less often. After a few weeks pass, I wake up more and more frequently and the dreams become crazier and crazier. I know it's time to take another ambien vacation when I can't sleep for more than 45 minutes without being interrupted.
The prescription/refill is for only 10 pills at a time and it isn't cheap, even with insurance. I don't take it everyday because, a) I don't want to become dependent, and, b) It would cost too much.
maybe I should stop takin showers prior to sleep. but I find myself itchy and scratchy in bed. I'm ganna pick up some gaba soon. I bought some kava kava too. seemed to help a bit. Do hot showers/bath prevent you from sleeping? I've been taking showers in the evening all my life.
As far as the guy hallucinating goes, Ambien does have that effect. It also gives you ridiculous munchies.
the one time i took it (i was 14 so it might have had a different effect on me) i was on an overnight flight to paris and i hallucinated as well and then just passed out. good times
That shit sounds nasty. I don't even want to try it.
I don't know why you some of you guys would want to abuse a drug like Ambien...there are better shit out there to abuse. Ambien is a great for those seriously in need of sleeping help.
