info and goals. 22 yrs old 5' 9" 173 9.5% bodyfat. looking to start 1st cycle. want to gain as much lean muscle mass as possible (10 to 20lbs if possible) and possibly do this without gaining bodyfat, and maybe simultaneously cutting bodyfat below 8%. 1st of all i want to know if this sounds realistic.
my first thoughts were to do a bulk cycle with test enanthate 400-500mg/week 1-10 and dbol 30 mg/day weeks 1-5 and nolva week 11-15; 40/40/20/20. im thinking about changing my mind because of possibly losing what little leanness i already have.(if there is a way to get around gaining fat with this cycle, info is appreciated)
questions- 1.will this add the unwanted bodyfat to my frame? 2. anyone have a better idea for a different cycle that will be better in giving me the gains im looking for? 3. any way to modify this cycle to make it give me the gains i want?
any experience/info/comments/positive flames will be accepted as long as i get on the right track...

Very Dependent on your diet. In most cases bodyfat can go down.

Its your first cycle, there is really no other option for you. I admit you could do Test Propionate instead of Test Enanthate, but you have to be okay with injecting every other day. It will get old VERY fast for a first timer. Test Prop will give you a leaner gain. but you still might get bloat.

You said it yourself you want to do a bulk cycle. You are going to lose your definition no matter what really. You are either going to bloat up a little, or gain fat because of poor diet. During a bulking cycle you have to learn to not worry about what you look like, don't be a pretty boy. You are bulking for a reason, worry about cutting up after your first cycle.
alright thanks. my original cycle would probably be best for me then. ill just try to positively manipulate my bodyfat by having the proper diet while on cycle to try and keep fat gains minimal.
and since im going to be sticking to my test e/ dbol cycle can you give me any other tips on that?
maybe i could take something such as a-dex or proviron while im on to prevent gyno and water retention?
I would say wait on the extras until later down the road. You really want to know if you'd even need them before you start just throwing them in. gyno is easily taken care of and obvious when it starts. if you bloat like stay puff man then throw in some adex next time.

Then 2 weeks after last injection I'll start Nolvadex at 40/20/20/20/20.
i was just now thinking that since i am just a noob maybe i could go 250mg/week test e and only 20 mg dbol per day and i would probably still get some excellent results. do you think that would be the case? personaly I would stick to the 500mgs/week test e for 12 weeks, drop the dbol this time, and keep lots of nolva on hand. Oh yeah and start PCT 2 weeks after last shot.

you can gain a lot with just test at first. Keep it simple. How do you plan on eating per day,(calories)? How many days do you train/week, how much cardio? All questions that will ultimately decide how your gains go. Best way to keep gains is to keep cals high and make your workouts short and sweet, and drop all cardio.

I can eat more cals if i want but i just figured 4 to 5 thou. will keep me from getting alot of unwanted fatty gains. do i need more cals?
i train 7 days a week. i have a 4 day continuous split (no off days)- (day 1.traps/delts day 2.back/biceps 3.chest/tris 4.legs/abs/cardio.)
There is no way I would run just test at 250mg/week. Bump that to 500mg like I stated and run a good diet. After the first cycle and pct see on how well you did and what gains you kept. Then when you plan out the next cycle you can run the dbol and test and be able to give a good description on how this cycle went and it can be tweeked to fit your needs. If you are bulking you are going to take on some fat. How much is up to you but you want those calories hi bro.

Yes you can pin once a week if you want. I like pinning twice a week to keep even levels thoughout the week.

my first time i shot once per week.
second time I shot twice per week and didnt notice much difference except I was a little more mellow, but I would almost attribute that to knowing what to expect. I think the evening out blood levels is a little overstated with just test, but I am still breaking it into two shots on my current cycle.
alright. you settled it. im just gonna run the test 10 weeks 500 mg per week. nolva week 12-16 40/40/20/20. i noticed earlier that you said to run 250 mg twice a week. why? i mean wouldnt i be alright running 500mg once a week??? Depends on which Test you're running. Test E is every 3.5 days (Monday AM & Thursday PM). You can get away with once per week but 2x/week is optimal to keep levels consistant, which if you're gonna do it you might as well do it right. Some require every other day injections (not recommended for first cycle).
4-5000 cals should be fine but IMO training 7 days a weeks in too much. I would suggest at least one off week with very little activity. Good luck bro, keep us posted

Good luck bro, keep us posted did you mean take a week off or were you trying to say a day off per week? also, i dont always train 7 days a week but i dont take intentional days off. i probably end up not working out once every 10 days due to other plans, etc.
also would injecting twice a week help with the sides due to not so much coming in all at once??? also, i plan on posting a journal with before/after pics
