According to reports, Howse has been a very high-profile fugitive for the last four years, but he will now serve a five-month jail term, which he began at Los Angeles' Men's Central Jail.
A spokesperson for the band told reporters that Howse was simply tired of running form the law, and decided to surrender.
No word yet on how the jail time will affect plans for a new Bone Thugs-N-Harmony album, due later this year.

Flesh-N-Bone Jailed On Assault Charge
Feb. 13 [7:55 EST] -- As we told you earlier this week, 22-year-old Stanley House, better known as Flesh-N-Bone from the group Bone Thugz-N-Harmony, is in Los Angeles County men's central jail serving a five-month term after surrendering to police.
It turns out that House was wanted by authorities to face a string of seven assault charges that date back to 1993, including one recording studio brawl with his brother, Steven "Lazy Bone" House.
Flesh-N-Bone had actually been considered a fugitive from justice for the past three years.
His spokespeople say that he recently turned himself in due to "inner turmoil." Flesh-N-Bone recently released a solo album called "Trues Humbly United Gatherin Souls."

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Member Arrested
July 7 [7:55 EDT] -- One of the members of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was arrested over the weekend for setting off explosives at his Los Angeles home, according to the Associated Press.
Twenty-four-year-old Stanley V. Howse, known as "Flesh-N-Bone" within the Grammy Award-winning rap group, was arrested, along with his brother-in-law Jamartarik Cole, 19, after police found so-called "destructive devices," and a cardboard tube with a green fuse.
Police found several weapons as well, although Howse and Cole weren't charged with weapons violations. They were each held on $500,000 bail.
However, according to Gary Ballen, the manager of the group - which won a Grammy this year for "Tha Crossroads," and whose single, "Look Into My Eyes," was No. 3 on Billboard's singles chart this week - Howse was simply having a little Independence Day fun, playing with fireworks when the cops were called at 1:50 a.m.
"It's not like he had bombs," Ballen said. "He had big fireworks."

Exposed Flesh-N-Bone
July 11 [Updated 14:00 EDT] -- Some details have emerged in the most recent arrest of Stanley Howse, better known as Flesh-N-Bone, a member of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, who's been on a bit of a crime spree this week.
Howse spent Wednesday night in jail on $1 million bail after he was arrested for threatening a witness in a case involving illegal Fourth of July fireworks and gunfire at his Los Angeles home.
He allegedly climbed onto his roof, exposed himself to his 63-year-old neighbor, and threatened to kill the neighbor and sexually assault his neighbor's wife. Howse and his neighbor have reportedly been feuding ever since Howse moved into the exclusive, mostly white, Los Angeles suburb of Chatsworth in April.
Howse was held overnight because he could not immediately post $1 million bail after he was booked Wednesday night.
As we reported earlier this week, Howse was arrested and held on $500,000 bail, along with his brother-in-law, Jamartarik Cole, on July 4th after neighbors reported hearing gunshots at the rapper's home. Police found a quarter-stick of dynamite, three M-80's, a shotgun traced to the 1991 Rodney King riots and AK-47 Assault rifle.
On Monday, Howse was charged with possessing a destructive device, possessing an explosive, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Wendesday marked the second time that Howse -- who had already done two months jail time this year on prior arrests -- was arrested in five days. He was charged with making terrorist threats and intimidating a witness.

Flesh-N-Bone In Trouble With The Law
SERENA: Meanwhile Stanley Howse, better known as Flesh-N-Bone, a member of the Bone Thugz-n-Harmony "Mo Thug Family," went on a crime spree this week not seen since the late Tupac Shakur's heyday. On Wednesday in Los Angeles, Howse, who had already done two months jail time this year on prior arrests, was arrested for the second time in five days. He allegedly climbed onto his roof, exposed himself to his 63-year-old neighbor, and threatened to kill the neighbor and sexually assault the neighbor's wife. Howse and his neighbor have reportedly been feuding ever since Howse moved into the exclusive, mostly white L.A. suburb of Chatsworth in April. Howse quickly posted $1 million bail after being charged with making terroristic threats and intimidating a witness. But a witness to what? Therein lies the rest of Howse's legal saga, which will head up this week's "Weekly Download."
SERENA: The R.O.A.R. tour continues, despite generally poor sales and Iggy's departure, but with Sponge, Bloodhound Gang, The Nixons, and others. It plays San Antonio, Texas on Sunday.

News Flash: Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Flesh Will Get Probation
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rapper Flesh-N-Bone and his brother-in-law will be pleading no contest to charges of assault and possession of illegal fireworks in exchange for the Los Angeles prosecutors dropping charges of terrorist threats and weapons offences, reports the L.A. Times.
Flesh, a.k.a. Stanley Howse, 24 at the time, and his then 19-year old brother-in-law Jamar Tarik Cole, were first charged July 4 last year with possessing a destructive device, possessing an explosive, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
A few days later, Flesh got into a altercation with his 63-year-old next door neighbor, who had apparently lodged the complaint in the first place. At some point, the rapper allegedly climbed onto his roof, exposed himself and threatened to kill the man and sexually assault his wife. He was charged with making terrorist threats and intimidating a witness.
The Times reports that the lawyers and prosecutors had agreed to a sentence of three years on probation. The District Attorney in charge confirmed the deal to the Times, but would not comment on the sentence, saying that was "up to the court." Howse and Cole are scheduled to enter pleas Friday in San Fernando Superior Court.
This is Howse's second serious brush with the law. He faced seven charges including assault and battery in 1993 and was incarcerated briefly early last year after failing to live up to the terms of his probation on those charges.

Flesh-N-Bone Sentenced To Jail Time For Probation Violation
Earlier this month, the "Los Angeles Times" reported that the rapper, a.k.a. Stanley Howse, had struck a deal guaranteeing probation for Howse (see "News Flash: Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Flesh Will Get Probation"), but a spokesperson for Flesh now says that the rapper was sentenced to jail time on Friday.
Howse's spokesperson told MTV News that prosecutors had pushed for more jail time, but that a judge took into account Howse's recent completion of alcohol treatment and anger management in sentencing him to only 120 days, minus 33 days time served.
San Fernando Municipal Court Judge John Gunn ruled that Howse must begin his sentence on March 30.
Until then, Howse is expected to continue work on his next solo effort for Def Jam Records, which he had been working on before the judge's ruling.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Flesh-N-Bone Arrested On Weapons Charges
By Sorelle Saidman
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Flesh-N-Bone, a.k.a. Stanley Howse, has been arrested and charged with weapons possession and other violations in California, reports the Reuters news service.
Howse, 26, was charged Wednesday with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a shotgun, making a terrorist threats, and resisting an officer following an incident on Monday at the home of a relative in Los Angeles. According to Reuters, Howse had a loaded shotgun at the residence and initially refused officers' orders to leave the house. His bail has been set at $95,000. Flesh is the brother of BTNH's Layzie Bone (Steve Howse) and a cousin of Wish Bone (Charles Scruggs). His criminal record includes assault and battery and other charges in 1993, failing to live up to the terms of his probation on those charges, and assault and possession of illegal fireworks stemming from a July 4, 1997 incident followed by a related altercation a few days later. (See "Flesh-N-Bone Sentenced To Jail Time For Probation Violation"). The latter netted him a sentence of 120 days in jail. The arrest has likely put a kink in the pending Bones Thugs-N-Harmony reunion. Flesh, whose participation with the band has been intermittent over the years largely due to his legal problems and solo career, had rejoined his crew for a new album titled "BTNHResurrection" due for release February 29.

Flesh-N-Bone Pleads Guilty To Weapons Charge
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Flesh-N-Bone, a.k.a. Stanley Howse, pleaded guilty to felony possession of a dangerous weapon in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday as part of a plea bargain.
The case stems from an incident in January, in which Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a disturbance at the home of one of the rapper's relatives. While there, police said they came across Flesh-N-Bone, a convicted felon, brandishing a loaded, sawed-off shotgun and initially refusing officers' orders to leave the scene.
Flesh-N-Bone was initially charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a shotgun, making terrorist threats, and resisting an officer (see "Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Flesh-N-Bone Arrested On Weapons Charges").
On October 24, Flesh-N-Bone could be sentenced to as much as three years behind bars.
The sentence could run concurrently with another ongoing case for the rapper; in June, he was convicted of assault with a firearm and for being an ex-convict in criminal possession of a firearm after threatening a friend with an AK-47 in December (see "Flesh-N-Bone Convicted On Assault, Weapons Charges").

UPDATE: Flesh-N-Bone Gets 11 Years In Assault Case
On Friday in Van Nuys, California, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Flesh-N-Bone was sentenced to spend 11 years in a California state prison for threatening a friend with an AK-47 back in December.
In June, the rapper (real name Stanley Howse) was found guilty of assault with a deadly weapon and criminal possession of a firearm by a felon for threatening a friend with an AK-47 that he produced from a baby's crib (see "Flesh-N-Bone Convicted On Assault, Weapons Charges").
The rapper had been facing a maximum sentence of 19 years in the case, prompting his manager, Gary Ballen, to say after the sentencing that "Stanley and I are very pleased with the sentence."
Flesh-N-Bone's attorney, Jonathan Kissell, echoed that sentiment, telling the press that his client was "very fortunate to have a fair-minded judge and prosecutor. The facts which were presented to the court showed a very talented individual who had a very problem-filled childhood.
"While this may appear to be a lengthy sentence, it will not serve as a life sentence. Stanley will continue to write music, to interact with people in the music industry, and use his creatively for others' enjoyment. He will be back in society's grasp within five years and will have learned a very valuable lesson in life."
At the time of Friday's sentencing, the rapper was already behind bars after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of a dangerous weapon (see "Flesh-N-Bone Pleads Guilty To Weapons Charge"). The case stems from a January incident in which Flesh-N-Bone was found by Los Angeles police officers brandishing a loaded, sawed-off shotgun at the home of one of his relatives.
